    Parker is boring.

The wilder fight has him hyped up but wilder is a useless.

He might beat zhang by doing pretty much the same thing getting in and out and throwing flurrys and hoping his chin saves him when he gets tagged occasionally.

Zhang was all wrong for joyce but parker isn't a sloth on his feet.

50/50 Maybe a shade higher for Parker.

Zhang isn't getting any younger and Parker learned from his loss to Joyce. Created a great game plan for Wilder and executed it. Zhang could easily age "overnight" should Parker repeat the process.

Intuition says that Parker should move as Zhang is enormous and very powerful but slow footed with a relatively poor engine and very inexperienced in 12 round fights.

He has a good chance. Big credit for taking the Wilder fight and winning but I wasn't that impressed as I thought Parker should have stopped him, given the physical and mental state of Wilder. But there's a good chance that Parker's outstanding 2023 will have him even better in this fight.

Carrying yourself with class is a good thing other things being equal but you're overrating it.

    1. Parker was implicated in a meth ring

    2. You can carry yourself with class and be a sociopath/psychopath, or lack class and be an honest man

get passed 6 rounds, pace himself, and then make him pay for his heavy combinations and gassy tank. Zhang tends to fade in the later rounds. I would increase the work rate around the 6 .

    My own thoughts:
One big key is JP has to let Zhang feel his POWER early - and clip him with HARD counters.

That plus feints and angles will hopefully not let Zhang settle or use his own power well.

I even like JP using explosive power shots similar to the Wilder fight.

Get thru 5 rounds that way and start really wearing the big man down. JP by late TKO.

I like Parker, seems like a good man. Zhang will be too much for him however. Those fast powerful combos are brutal.
Parker is riding high right now, but the Wilder he fought had his soul permanently deleted by Fury. It was a very nice win, but Zhang feels like he is on a mission.

Don't stand in front of him like Hrgovic and Joyce did, use his superior movement to create angles and keep the slow footed Zhang constantly resetting. Hard to throw when you're always resetting your foot work to find a position to throw.

Mix up the levels. Zhang keeps his hands high which exposes the body. So going to the body with straight rights and uppercuts whenever he tries to walk in. Zhang will need to drop his hands which will create openings for Parker or keep taking punches to the body which will slow him down sooner.

Tie Zhang up when he does get inside. Parker doesn't want to trade with Zhang up close, he's pretty adept inside and is too powerful. So shut down his inside game by smothering Zhang up close when needed.

Feints were crucial to his success vs Wilder and again they will be important in how he deals with Zhang. While Zhang isn't a reactive defensive fighter like Wilder, he will tighten and raise his guard as a defensive response so feint to keep him in his high guard to target the body and to keep him guessing and hesitating.

Exploit the weaknesses of the high guard. Zhang's vision will be limited when he has his hands up, so either feint or throw light shots to make him shell up then create a different angle of attack by either punching around the guard or stepping to the side. Uppercuts to the body which he will have hopefully established in the early rounds will also set up the uppercut to the head to split his high guard.

And of course look to exploit Zhang's poor work rate and stamina. Which means being busy and doing things like trying to steal rounds late as it's likely whatever success Zhang has had was sporadic and easily overturned by a late concerted effort. Keep things conservative in the first half knowing Zhang will be more vulnerable in the second half.

Zhang is more dangerous in the early rounds and has a tendency to fade off in the later rounds. Parker needs to keep Zhang busy from the first bell setting a high pace, boxing at range with movement and targeting the body as often as possible. Basically Parker needs to take advantage of Zhangs size and age and use it against him while avoiding Zhangs heavy counters .

Zhang has a deadly left but a nice right hook as a compliment

I'm not sold on Zhang past 6 rounds

Parker either needs to be too far to tag or too close, being at mid-range is a problem

His jab will need to be effective and he will need to circle to his left and dominate the footwork game of position with the southpaw. I figure the longer the fight goes the better his chances. Maybe he can bait Zhang to lead and counter. Timing the left is crucial
