No love for Thomas Hearns
His nickname was The Hitman, for crying out loud. The man turned pro at 147 and ended up fighting at cruiserweight!

Yup, Gene Fullmer and Danny are well above the rest of the boxers from Utah. I agree with you. I am going with Lopez as number one.

As you said it’s a very difficult topic and I felt like these guys all demonstrated phenomenal power throughout their respective careers. Danny Lopez could have easily made it as could have Marciano.

I don’t think Beterbiev has shown enough yet plus his career isn’t finished - he’s also not necessarily a one hitter quitter like Shavers, Wilder, Jackson etc. Wlad did have serious one hit KO power I just don’t think he hit as hard as other heavyweights like Shavers, Foreman, Tyson, Wilder, and maybe Louis.

Again it’s a tough one, I by no means was trying to be US biased, it’s just the names that naturally came to my head first and my personal opinion.

Even at cruiserweight, he was knocking people out.

Hearns was great but, for me, a bit reminiscent of Wilder (or vice-versa). If you allowed him to plant his feet and set his range in order to wind up that big right hand, you could be toast.... but if you used whatever weight advantage you had and backed him up -- like Hagler did (and of course Fury did to Wilder) it could be a different story....

Doesn't mean he doesn't belong on this list of course -- because whenever he could get those feet planted and wind up that right, his punch was right up there with the best.

All very hard punchers - i don't think Beterbiev, Tank, or Inoue should be considered just yet, I'd like to see more from them first.

Career not nearly finished and imo he’s not proved his power as much as these guys. Still a legendary finisher who could very well work himself into this conversation.

That left hook Pac put on Hatton was dynamite. I think p4p he had one of the hardest punchers ever. His straight left was bang on the money as well.

    Tyson. Animal.

    Lennox Lewis massive KO power.
