Oh, hey, I don't necessarily imply you'll be going anywhere when you take that trip down the ol' river. Most of Wilder's fans have been taking many a pleasant cruise along its palm-fringed banks these past four years*. Sometimes they even spot Wilder himself in his rubber dinghy frantically paddling past them, and their little hearts soar. But maybe I'm being hasty. Maybe you won't get on that cruise ship at all. Maybe you'll just dip your toes in, or even stand by the banks watching the reeds and the Wilder fans floating by. If so, kudos to you. I'll certainly be keeping on dry land in the aftermath, whoever gets their hand raised. Which will be Usyk. *don't ask them who built the pyramids though...
If Fury loses I will take all the razzle that will get thrown and no doubt you will do the same should Usyk lose
Sure will. I find it Volga when fans make excuses. Not facing up to reality can only lead to Missouri in the end. It can even drive you in-Seine. Remember when fans would just Congo-ratulate the winner, regardless of personal feelings? Thames were the days...
It’s very rare to have two undefeated prime ATG heavyweights squaring off, only times it’s happened off the top of my head is Bowe-Holyfield and Frazier-Ali I predict a Fury win but Usyk will make it competitive
To Be honest: regardless the outcome this will be a historic event. Really excited to have these 2 squaring off for undisputed. We should appreciate the ocassion. Normally a Usyk victory on points.
I see Usyk winning on points. I don't see Usyk knocking out Fury or even knocking him down. He doesn't have prime Wilder's power (or Ngannou's). But Usyk is a much more skilled tactician. He's a boxer's boxer. He'll outland Fury and win more rounds. Also, I think his shorter size may actually work to his advantage in one respect - it'll be harder for Fury to lean his weight on him and wear him out like he did with Wilder. Usyk is smaller and more squirrely and should be more successful at evading those situations. As for Fury, if he doesn't show up in prime condition, he'll be thoroughly outclassed. And If he wants to knock Usyk down, he has to bring his A-game. But I still don't see a knockdown happening. Usyk is too skilled.
Fury had such a hard time defeating Wilder, who isn’t even a good boxer, in 3 fights. Usyk didn’t have such a hard time defeating AJ, who is a way better boxer, in 2 fights. Parker beat Wilder but lost to AJ. According to my calculations, Usyk takes it by decision.
I hope your right, but boxing don't work like that. The most "closest' comparison we can do is Fury - Wallin and Aj - Wallin. As Wallin is prolly the closest thing to Usyk, Fury has ever faced, and he didn't look very good, didn't he ? Anyway. Usyk either KO Fury, or Fury will survive thanks to the referee allowing him to cheat his way to losing a wide 12-0 to 9-3 decision in favor of Usyk. This, unless Usyk is totally shot.
Sure on all your other points but Usyk KO Fury? Fury got up like 4 times by Wilder’s KD who was the hardest puncher in boxing today.
Great video Rummy! I agree that Fury is going to win. Ever since the fight was announced, I've had the gut feeling that Fury is going to absolutely run over Usyk, and that feeling hasn't changed. I truly hope Usyk proves me wrong and wins, I would love to see that. But I just can't shake this feeling.
