Nice. Should have happened before now, but at least Beterbiev, despite his age, is still not too far removed from his best. Other than a loss of some speed which has never been his forte, he looked very good against Callum. This feels like a hard fight to predict. I want to favor Bivol's smooth style, his superior distance management and great jab here. But I feel like Beterbiev will eventually get in close, land some short chopping shots that hurt Bivol, work his body and eventually finish him towards the 10th or 11th rounds. Beterbiev's pressure is really something else. Gvozdyk did a good job using his jab, landing stiff combinations and countering him. But Beterbiev took the fight out of him with right hooks over the top, right straights to the body and telephone pole jabs. Bivol uses excellent footwork, moving in and out, sucking his opponent forward but still standing his ground enough to keep the fight at midrange. But I think he's gonna have to use a lot more lateral movement than he normally does to slow down his attack. I'm definitely looking forward to this one.
Beterbiev dismantles Bivol who tries to run but can’t hide, post fight statement from Bivol says “I knew I should have stayed away from LHW Champions “ !
Looking forward to this. Hoping the whole Matchroom Vs Queensbury card is a memorable one. Money seems to be no object in Saudi after all.
