He's having a Twitter meltdown today, keeps calling Gevonta Davis an 'Umpalumoa' which is about as witty as it gets for him.

 

Gervonta Davis achieved and earned more in the sport of boxing in 2023 than Benn will in his entire career. Benn can only dream of having the killer precision power that Gervonta carries, I'd love for the two to meet, Davis would put him to sleep.

I liked his recent words of wisdom when he said it's highly suspicious how Beterbiev is still a world champion at almost 40. Then the very next weekend said it's absolutely fantastic how Natasha Jonas is still a world champion at almost 40.

 

Not much difference between Bellew and Benn IMO.

Bellew learned from Hearn just how easy it is to manipulate the general public and casuals and used it to chance his way into two bumper PPV paydays v Haye and a final PPV cash-out against Uysk, netting him circa £10 million in total.

Haye, actually laid the blueprint in how to fleece the casuals, something he clearly learned from observing the mistakes Audley made, and one which the likes of AJ, Chrisora, Whyte and Fury are currently exploiting for maximum returns.

Hearn had placed Benn on a similar path until he popped, and at this stage, I think Hearn would sacrifice Conor to anyone if he could secure 500,000 buys on the back of it, especially at a higher weight, where he has a ready made excuse once Benn is sparked out.

Bellew has slightly more self-awareness than Benn, but all the same, once you get past the false-self and facade he has reininvented himself behind he is equally insufferable and see-through.

Nigel was the same, hence why he always seemed to lose when someone kept a jab in his face and / or didn't fold to his power or succumb to his bully boy tactics. The father reinvented himself by becoming a born-again Christian, but the apple does not fall far from the tree with the Benn's.

Do you reckon Benn has any genuine ambitions of a world title shot or is he just looking pay days?

It’s looking like he might get the Davis fight which I would be very surprised about.
