Frazier would brutally beat Joyce up and finish him in the early to mid rounds. Too skilled, fast, too aggressive, badder intentions - Frazier would eat Joyce's best shots for dinner. This dude beat I'd possibly say a prime Muhammad Ali!
Frazier wins. But not necessarily a good stylistic matchup for Frazier if you see what Foreman did to him.
Joyce isn't an inside fighter and he doesn't know how to post, frame, collar tie, clinch and that along with his slow hands and limited agility would just make him a big target for Frazier. Much like Joshua vs Usyk, Joyce doesn't know have the tools to utilise his size advantage. So despite the huge size difference he wouldn't be able to keep Frazier at a distance and be forced to fight Frazier at his range where he would lose. He takes his lumps and loses a decision.
Frazier matched it with the most greatest amazing fighter of all time, Ali, so lol he loses to any modern HW. If that was the case the whole house of cards might fall down!
Joyce doesn’t have Foreman’s power and is slow as anything so even Frazier’s leaky defense wouldn’t be that much of an issue. Frazier points all day.
It feels like sacrilege to say it but i'd favour Joyce tbh, probably by late stoppage. Obviously Frazier was much more skilled but the size difference is absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah, Jesus. People use the Foreman fight (past-prime Joe) as some kind of proof, except Foreman actually had exceptionally fast hands when parrying, stopping, and framing. I can scarcely recall the man ever passively block a shot in his first career. It was all proactive and reactive defense and he was drilled like a machine in that craft. Having Sandy Saddler and Archie Moore in your corner does that to a man.
