Of course he was, that's why the match made my top 10. Have you seen the rest of the fights I listed on my top 10?

I think Magomed Kurbanov vs. Michel Soro was the worst thing I saw last year in terms of decisions. Toss in that bull**** on the scales before the fight and it was one for the ages.

The worst robbery is clearly Romero vs Barroso, which may be among the worst I’ve ever seen in boxing history. One of the most blatant examples of corruption and the creation of yet another complete paper champion.

I’ve watched the Loma vs Haney fight several times and for it was competitive and close. The scorecards were of course absolute BS and Haney was given a hometown advantage. Still I could have seen a draw in that one of a SD for Haney. Devin was gifted a UD imo.

Also Kambosos clearly lost so I’d probably put that number 2.

Loma Haney was the biggest robbery in terms of consequences to the sport of boxing.
Loma not only robbed of the victory but also legendary status. It also helped fuel creating a fake legacy for Haney who really is a fraud that has made a career out of sucking heaps of weight and fighting much smaller men.

Of course, there's no denying that. But that doesn't mean we should all ignore the countless robberies that occur all over the globe on a damned near weekly basis. At this point Loma vs. Haney has had probably well in advance of 1000 pages discussing it on this forum alone. Yet how many people have discussed Cook vs. Godoy, a match where Godoy dominated Cook, arguably winning 10 out of 10 rounds and scoring a knockdown, yet lost via SD. Aside from me, not a soul.

I wasn't suggesting to ignore the others. Robberies are the biggest problem in boxing IMO it doesn't matter if it's a 7-5 type of fight a robbery is a robbery. My man Stevie Spark retired off the back of a robbery as it was soul crushing for him as he doesn't earn enough money from boxing like the big names do so he thought he was better off getting a job and now works as a real estate agent.

I still think the Loma Haney one was the biggest kick in the nuts to boxing since the Kovalev Ward and Canelo GGG fights in terms of the landscape. If robberies can't be stopped in the biggest fights what chance do we have on stopping them in the smaller fights that only us hard cores watch. That is the point I am trying to make.

I agree wholeheartedly in terms of significance. Although my point in making these threads and always has been, to highlight the matches lost in the shadows of robberies like Loma-Haney. Obviously if corruption can't be stopped in the biggest fights, you can't stop it in the smaller ones. However, it does aid in helping to stop it in the bigger fights if you highlight it as a widespread endemic problem that happens on a weekly basis, hell sometimes 2 and 3 times on the same card, as opposed to how it's currently being framed as just a few outlier results that only affects a handful of big names.

george foreman vs shannon briggs- fight over, briggs slumped to his chair and hung his head. he knew he lost. he looked surprised as hell when his name was called. hell, there is a photo when they were handing over the belt to him, you could see his name was already on it! so, do they have two belts ready or is there an engraver working very fast ringside?

You must be blind. I was not a robbery, it was not even close. You probably have charlo winning vs canelo.

It's ridiculous to think that ortiz won that fight. Not even being blind, actually.
