Ortiz won. You need to be effective with your aggression. Terrible performance by Teo

Teofimo landed more power punches. So there's that.

Just watched the fight. It was one of the worst I've seen in years. I had Ortiz by 1 round but tbh after watching that, they both suck ass.

Anyone calling robbery is an idiot just like Steve Weisfeld for his 117-111 card.

I should not have paid my money to watch this boring fight. I expected to watch a good fun fight but it turned out to be a garbage one. I will not watch this marathon runner Ortiz in the ring with anyone again.

I gave Teo rounds 4,6,7,8,11 and 12 so I had it a draw which means the right man ended up with the titles in the end.

It was a horrible fight and despite it being very close and competitive nobody will want to see a rematch so while Ortiz may feel cheated he only has himself to blame if he now gets frozen out from a rematch or any other big fights.

Ortiz was simply too passive, I had no real problem with the movement, it was a sound strategy but he simply didn't take advantage enough of the positions he was in to land his own punches. You can't win fights on movement alone, punches win fights and I can't say he landed a single meaningful punch the whole fight. It was all little light touch shots then move away he really only once or twice stood his ground and traded. Maybe he was scared of being countered, maybe because he was also missing so much he wasn't confident of landing so was conservative with his out put.

But Teo sucked as well. He again showed a complete inability to deal with movement, he simply followed Ortiz around the ring not throwing for long stretches of the fight. He could of easily won some of the earlier rounds by simply being more active. Yes Ortiz's movement gave him few opportunities to throw but there were occasions where he was just waiting not doing anything but waiting for a lead and hoping to counter but it was clear very early on that wasn't going to be that type of fight and he would need to forget countering and would be the one having to lead but instead he was trapped by his own style and allowed Ortiz to lead, pick up points and then move away. When he did lead he was winning rounds but he simply never did it enough to win the fight clearly on my card.

It's clear now anyone that fights Teo will utilise movement from now on as it completely shuts Teo down. He needs to be very carefully matched up from now on.

but when you compare being non effective with aggression vs. running, i think the judges are gonna give it now to the aggressor whether effective or not vs. an opponent running most of the fight.

Ortiz had no right to win that fight, he ran all night. Yes, Teo looked terrible too but at least he tried to make it a fight. I gave the nod to Teo.
