Its the nickname the Golden Corral employees gave him. On a more serious note, whatever happened to Ruiz? He hasn't boxed in forever. He wasn't that good of a boxer but he was fun to watch.
He is going to Hollywood to be a novelty character in movies aimed at the growing Mexican-American-Mexican consumer market.
Making fun of Ruiz appearance is like taking candy from a baby. Yes, on a more serious note. He stopped a prime AJ and gave a nip & tuck fight to Parker in his back yard. AJ & Parker must not be that good either To say Ruiz wasn't "that good" is ridiculous. What's good around here? Consensus top 5 for 5-10 years?! Any top 10 HW for just a few years is pretty damn good. I love the standards many on BF24 have for boxers. I've always wondered if they apply those standards to themselves. Ruiz is looking like he's wasting his career. But for an undisciplined fat man, he's accomplished far more and is better off than most peeps posting hyperbole here.
Ruiz, Wilder, Ortiz, Pulev/Charr - should battle it out for the chance to take on Fury for the prestigious 'Probably Already Irrelevant' HW belt. In early 2024 ... Ruiz's last win was in late 2022. His Joshua win was mid 2019. It's like the UK still believing it's a world power because the British Empire was once a thing and is arguably on the verge of a comeback.
he’s got the co main role for the live action version of up. https://www.google.com/search?sca_e...AB&biw=393&bih=665&dpr=3#imgrc=xT7NhT_3CGs-JM
Well he was at the Day of Reckoning card, trying to keep his name in the mix, but it seems no one wants to take the risk on him. I think a few things happened: 1) he is attached to the PBC, so like most of their guys became inactive as networks ran for the hills. Perhaps now they are aligned with Amazon we will see him in a fight soon. 2) he doesn't have the marketing value of Wilder to interest the Saudis - they really will have wanted Wilder v Joshua. 3) he aligned himself with the WBC, and got discarded by them when he became difficult to deal with (much like Whyte). Let's not forget he was owed a final eliminator by them (much like Whyte). They chose instead to drop Ruiz from the rankings for "innactivity" instead of calling purse bids on Wilder v Ruiz whilst allowing Wilder to keep his own ranking. So, what is he doing? Well it seems like he wants to fight, but he probably has a minimum figure in his head (which might be unrealistic for all I know), especially now he knows trying to go the WBC mandatory route was a waste of time...maybe we will see him on Amazon this year
