Canelo Alvarez will announce his next opponent Tuesday 6pm UK Time

I'm hoping for Benavidez but expecting Munguia.

 

I'm expecting the 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair. I know it's a risk for Canelo.

Big Charlo, followed by the somehow not mexican (because he doesn't fight mexicans, remember) Munguia.

 

I still remember when Canelo was seriously considering Usyk as his opponent. The train of thought was something along the lines of "yeah we'll steamroll right through Bivol to take his belt, then use Beterbiev as a pre-warm up for Makabu who will be our actual warmup for the Usyk fight. We probably wont win, but we can eat his punches because we took Kovalevs hits".

Boy what a time that was.

On a more serious note, I don't really care who he fights next as long as their someone in the 168 division who is willing to actually fight him. Canelo says he's back on his A-game so lets see it.

Canelo is far from his A game and wont ever get back to it. It will be Munguia and, if PBC was smart, put Charlo-Benavidez as co-main. That would create a playoff everyone could get behind.

Hoping Crawford gets Tim-Thurman winner sometime in the summer.

It will be Mungia. Canelo is smart enough to know the Mall fight stinks too much even for his fan boys to swallow.

 

Almost guaranteed it won't be Benavides.

Will be great to finally end the speculation and proceed to cook Canelo for another cherry pick.

 

His opponent will make sure to sign in to social media to find out if he got picked, just like Callum Smith.

 

I hope it's Munguia but it will probably be Charlo, after Charlo I hope it's Munguia, and then Benavidez in 2025, May or September.
