Pick one fighter from the past (any year) to fight and punish Tyson Fury in Riyadh next month. My choice would be 'smoking' Joe Frazier.

    Yours?

It’s funny you mention Frazier because Frazier is my #1 pick to beat the **** out of Usyk.

Frazier's style is a nightmare for Fury.

Well Frazier definitely is very bad for Usyk as well.

If it takes Joe Frazier to punish Fury you must have a very high opinion of Fury because Frazier belongs to the best of the best. Tier 1 Champion.

There are other boxers who could punish Fury as well but Frazier (or Dempsey or Marciano) will mete out the hardest punishment.

I very much doubt it with that size difference.

I would rather go with Lennox Lewis in that case.

Blasphemous as is, I'd give Usyk a decent enough chance against Frazier.

Anyway, for the thread topic, I'd take his namesake.

Well, he's only from the very recent past and still active, but can I pick the "Middleweight" that belted and cut Tyson in sparring?

I reckon he's got the Big Dosser's number, and the Sausage knows it. In fact, that's why such a match will never come off.

My pick? George Foreman. Fury is too big to make Foreman miss.

we say in the third fight how Fury reacted to being hit to the body by Wilder. He was deeply uncomfortable. Wilder unfortunately didn’t have the sense to sustain it.

Foreman was a brutal body puncher with a better chin than Wilder. He had a better jab, better left hook and better uppercut. Given his variety of punches, he is going to land over and over again.

IMO Foreman stops him- and brutally. The younger Fury who fought Wlad may be able to win a few rounds before getting trapped on the ropes and stopped.

the older come forward version would get stopped earlier.

To this I would add that Foreman can push Fury away better than Wilder.
Foreman has a better heart than Wilder.
And Foreman is a better finisher than Wilder.
    Foreman would punish Fury.

P.S. Foreman has "better legs" than Wilder

I think Lennox Lewis would beat him bad after all was said and done.

I'd take old Wlad in the rematch they never had after Fury's "mental elf" acted up.

Joe Louis and Sonny Liston would deliver a lot of punishment to Tyson Fury. Also Dempsey although i did not favor him. Short fighters like Frazier or Marciano: i really don't know!?!
    The List goes on:

    Ali (95%)
    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Foreman
    86-88 Tyson
    Mercer (50%)
