American HW boxing is probably the worst it has ever been.

When do you think there will be another HW champion ?

    The current state ....

    Wilder looks done
Ruiz Jnr and Hunter seem to have lost all interest
The only reasonable prospect is Anderson but his fight with Prince Chuckles Martin showed up lots of major flaws.

Do you think there will be a HW champion from the USA in the near future or are we talking many years if ever ?

Someone from a America will snatch a belt at some time the coming years. But I don’t think there is a dominant champion on the horizon from America.

By 2026 I reckon Fury Usyk and Joshua will either be retired or shot to bits. I reckon once the belts are dispersed Jared Anderson will pick atleast one of the belts up.

    2026.

Shannon Briggs comes out of retirement for the 17th time and KO's Usyk in the first round.

    LETS GO CHAMP

Jared Anderson v Moses Itauma in unified match-up, sometime in 2027...

2025. Wilder takes a year out, doesn’t skip leg day and wins a vacant belt next year

The problem is that all the best athletes in Murica go into other sports where as in other countries they don't really have other sports, just boxing. This puts everyone else at quite an advantage.

The way for Murica to get the advantage back and dominate boxing again would be to return to making boxing like the World Series in MLB. You'll notice that every year the team from the USA wins that one. USA is hands down the best in the world at World Series baseball. Some would argue that's partly because no team from anywhere else is allowed to compete for the global title. But the facts don't lie. USA wins every year.

Pro boxing used to be very close to that. Every now and then some foreigner would get invited over but in general it was kept in house because everyone knew that Murican fighters were the best, so why waste time.

By 2030 maybe, Usyk will be gone, Fury will be gone, Joshua will be in his twilight and the belts with be fragmented again. There are no real Americans I can see coming down the pipeline, all the current ones except Jared are old. The legit best one (Mike Hunter) is already 36 so how much longer will he be around. It's gonna be a wasteland.

    Best current hope: Joshua Edwards

Edwards is 23. He's from Houston. He's representing the US at Super Heavyweight in the Paris Olympics. He won the Pan Am Games. His father was also a boxer, who claims to have sparred with Ali.

If he fights for the Heavyweight Title in four or five years ... he'll still be only 27 or 28.

There's not really an obvious candidate on the horizon.

    But money talks...

And an American champ sells - so there's bound to be an org that sees mileage in manufacturing and then protecting one... Just like the WBC did with Wilder.

Ever since holyfield and Tyson the ys ge
havyweights are fat slobs. The talentpool is too small. I think more will go into mma than boxing as well besides other sports. There will be less gyms, less quality trainers, less apeal. So some blob might snatch a belt but that will be it.

That's a long way of saying that American's suck so much at sport they have to call national games "world series" to stoke their egos.
