Kostya for sure. Apart from a couple of great fighters one of whom, his best opponent and career defining win, he cheated like crazy against with the energy boosting PEDs he consumed in that black bottle of his, Pryor's resume is trash and both he and his resume gets insanely overrated because of his US privilege which also affords him the obligatory free pass for cheating like crazy in his greatest win and stealing a huge part of the legacy of one of the sport's true gentlemen and classiest guys to ever don a pair of gloves. FTR, Vince Phillips popped dirty for performance enhancing drugs when he fought outside the US over here in the tiny majestic isle of Great Britain against Hatton Reverse the roles And I'm just being real with you and you know I'm right If Kostya had Pryor's weak resume instead with a couple of great/excellent wins amidst an ocean of trash and D and C levels and he was seen on camera suping himself up with PEDs mid fight against his greatest opponent and career defining win he would get crucified on a molten cross and be deemed a PED cheat with a weak resume who had to cheat like crazy to beat a past prime Arguello who was campaigning in his 5th weight class. Let's not forget that Kostya was a fearless road warrior who fought on the road in almost half of his fights and Pryor only fought outside the US once, all the way over the other side of the world in.... Canada.
Who did either one beat? Why didn't KT rematch Phillips and Hatton? Why did Pryor need coke water to beat a lightweight? Why didn't either one move up to fight in a much more prestigious and historic division? Overrated.
Posters like you should try to educate yourselfs on the era and opponents they fought, circumstances around fights, instead of just looking for names on boxrec you think are 'great'.... You johnny-come-lately's will never get it or underatand the climate unless you were invested back then.
Still no explanation as to why KT refused to fight Philliips again, and how he quit the sport of boxing because he didn't like the musty smell of Hatton's armpits. The guy was a diva with a ponytail. Pryor talked a lot of ****, but he never backed it up by coming up to 147 and fighting in the GOAT era of welterweights. He was sloppy and lacked discipline, inside of the ring and out. 140 was never anything more than a pit stop for the true ATGs that wanted to test themselves against the best fighters near their division. Pryor mauls the diva into submission, though...
I think Aaron Pryor was also one of those guys that was super close to top 5 all time great, but needed a FEW little things.
You really have no clue since you never watched either guy fight. There's a HUGE reason 99% of your posts start with "How come...." or "Why didn't...", then you answer like a snarky teenager. You're just a johnny-come-lately... Stick to boxreccing kiddo....
Pretty disrespectful seeing as though Tszyu was found to have bruising on the brain after the Hatton fight. I would say this was most likely the reason he never fought again.
Both fighters overrated as F, whether you like it or not. Especially tszuy. Top 5 my ass At least pryor has names like argüello and cervantes in his CV and he can be easily defended, but tszuy? Oh, btw. Your memory is trash, he quit vs hatton.
Yes, they are, especially tzyu btw who is not only overrated but extremely overrated. Pryor is just only overrated though. Now on topic, Aaron Pryor was a better fighter imho, and by far, I think he would win.
No it hasn't the Daily Telegraph in Australia put a story out on it along with doctors report back in 2005 they tried some damage control articles afterwards but everyone saw the original reports.
