Yes, but Bivol is exceptionally skilled. Benavidez isn't.

You have no idea about boxing at all. Bivol is very basic, Benavidez is a very skilled fighter and can do much in the ring that basic Bivol. Canelo also believes that, hence the ducking. He had no problem getting in the ring with Bivol.

Charlo has had 1 fight in 3 years he is an irrelevant fighter. He does not even fight on ppv and nobody wants to see him fight Canelo, while everyone wants to see Canelo fight Benavidez but you are suggesting the Charlo fight is more lucrative? You understand how ridiculous that suggestion is right?

You just might be right, I dunno exactly how it plays out but I feel like Canelo will likely beat him as long as he doesn't wait too long, father time etc. I do think David's defense isn't good enough for a Canelo level operator. The same thing plays out over and over in most Canelo fights. They eat that 1st real counter punch and decide they don't like that flavor, then output drops and only jabs feel safe, scared to go to the body and then he picks them apart slowly while the opponent looks like he didn't show up to win. Benavidez's punch output will drop or he may go out on his shield. There's always that chance he can get a stoppage himself but I'm not convinced he's got the kind of power to one shot that monolith of a chin Canelo has. But, if he can hurt Canelo he can stop him.

I was about to ask you the same question saying all that about Charlo and in the same breath calling Andrade a "big win" lol. I shouldnt have to spell it out when it comes to Andrade but damn, Make it make sense. Honestly they both have the same career buildup probably due to being PBC guys. Mostly mediocre resume, lacking wins over current world champs, lots of intern action. I like David's resume slightly more but Jermall is a 2 division champ. The sooner you realize the standard rules don't really apply to a guy like Canelo the less your head will hurt discussing who he should fight.

It's not that Bivol is very basic, it's that Benavidez is heavy handed while Bivol isn't. He had no problem getting into the right with Bivol as he knew Bivol couldn't hurt him but that it was a difficult stylistic matchup. Benavidez is skilled but he's not a technician like Canelo or Bivol. Benavidez has power, height, reach and work rate. Bivol has less power than Benavidez also a high work rate and better blocking. For example, I wouldn't expect Bivol to get caught with the kind of shots Benavidez did against Plant in the first half of their match if Bivol fought Plant. Bivol is just much harder to hit than Benavidez is, and Bivol is also a more accurate puncher, but Benavidez has knock out power in both hands, Bivol doesn't.

So you still think Jermall has earned the shot at 168 undispited just as much as Benavidez. Thanks for confirming you are an idiot.

Bivol has good defense but he still gets hit often enough, Craig Richards legit won 4 rounds vs him and he's a C grade fighter. Bivol is very open to body shots, which none of his opponents really have exploited, not even Canelo who was too focused on hitting his arms with bombs. Benavidez is a body snatcher, and just a few of those will take Bivols legs and he will be a sitting duck.

I think Bivol is basic. He throws the same types of punches on repeat does not mix things up, same tempo. What he does, he does very well, but I think its basic. People way super high on him because he schooled Canelo who is nothing at 175 and some other decent wins. Ask yourself, who has looked more impressive during their careers. Benavidez who has dominated and beat up every opponent or Bivol who has not stopped his last 8 opponents even vs cans.

Ok this is becoming so stupid. Since Mayweather has done it, it is natural now for a great champion like Canelo, to cherry picking and wait till the fighter get old, or cant make the weight, etc...
And look Gervonta Devis is doing exactly the same. Are you ****ing serious or would you really tell me that you are enjoying the last 10 mismatch in wich Davis has been involved? Stfu. He is nearly 31 and with the moneymaker excuses has done nothing for the sport. And for Canelo, how long his resume can save him from the suspect of fear of Benavidez? I think Bivol was just a cherry picking that goes wrong for him, and so his last 5-6 fight.
Canelo Vs Benavidez is now or never, if we dont want this to be like May-Pac

Floyd and Manny were of similar age.
This would be more like Canelo vs Golovkin only this time Canelo will be in his mid 30s.

I will be furious if the PPV numbers are anywhere close to Jermells.

You're still looking at in from a far different perspective than I am. You STILL think this is about deserving a shot at undisputed, it's not. This is about a shot at Canelo and the financial windfall it brings. Until you realize the distinction you'll be here pulling your hair out over every post.

Man if you think Charlo is the bigger money fight you are clueless.
