He's waiting for a big money payday that'll never come. Then, once he's blown through his money and in desperate need of cash, he'll come back vastly diminished and end his career struggling with journeymen for peanuts.

If Mark De Mori can get an offer, Ruiz can.

Not the money Ruiz is wanting.

He can get or make a fight. What is stopping it is his over inflated value he has of himself.

It's a shame he doesn't continue and fight some people under 40.

It's pretty clear he was mediocre and would have started losing to a lot of ranked fighters. This would have made the AJ fights funnier in retrospect. By basically giving up afterwards AJ fans can pretend he was a great fighter who just fell out of love with boxing, lol.

Just imagine what Fury, Wilder, Croatian, Usyk, Zhang would do to him. Joyce and Parker wouldn't have any trouble either.

I'm sure he still gets kickbacks from helping set the wheels in motion as the first HW champ to defend in Saudi.

lol there is no way that this is stipulated in his Joshua contract that he is paid commissions from future events... wtf. You have some imagination. Also, there are no profits from any of these events

When they are dishing out millions for celebrities to be in attendance why wouldn't they give a kickback to the heavyweight pioneer? They have to get the ball rolling somehow and they don't think about money like we do. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
