Hearn's spin, lies and deceit becoming more evident by the day with most of us aware of it a long time ago. With the exception of Matchroom employees, I wonder if there are any suckers left out there that actually believe anything he says.
Yeah that's totally fair, but I think the Wembley example doesn't cross the sea well though, because there's a huge variety of stadiums in London to pick from. You wouldn't have people rattling around at Wembley if you were only selling enough tickets to fill Stamford Bridge or Craven Cottage. In Dublin it's a bit more binary - either 3 Arena (9k), Leinster Rugby (18.5k) - then a huge gap to Aviva (50k), Croke (80k+). Ultimately if they reckon they can sell somewhere between the Leinster and Aviva numbers, that surely merits going to the bigger stadium, even if there's several thousand empty seats.
To be fair Katie Taylor would sell out Croke Park twice over. I live in Ireland and to their credit, they support their own.
If so then why is Hearn not full steam ahead and booking it? Should he do so, I am expecting a crowd U2 concert size not 15,000 turning up.
Agree with this. The 3 Arena cards sell out and the cheapest tickets for that are €100 with floow tickets €1000 if I remember. These prices are huge compared to UK cards and the reasons appear to be insurance and security/policing. Dont forget there was a murder at a weigh in of a show in Dublin less than 10 years ago and this practically ended professional boxing in Dublin for a number of years.
Would be very impressed should that happen but need to see it to believe it. Hearn would have booked this without hesitation if he thought the huge stadium could be filled to capacity.
DAZN is just a money laundering vessel, can't believe people take it seriously, it losses millions every year, it's just a way to recycle dirty Russian money
......but.....but, they've got an Algorithm that tells them millions are going to tune into every breakfast hall show. In fact the numbers are so huge the real reason the don't release them is for the publics safety as they wouldn't want people to suffer shock and heart attacks at such astronomical viewing figures. Can't believe you think otherwise, must be a hater!
I heard millions of Chinese people routinely gather around a Chicken Curry and watch next gen on a single phone.
Croke Park is owned by the GAA, little bit trickier than booking a standard stadium. Residents kick up blue murder over this sort of thing as well. That said the Aviva would allow it and same has not happened, perhaps he is not as confident as he says about the financials as would need to sell out to turn over a profit for example. The Irish back their stars to the hilt though. She does have a big big following. Compared to the UK where none of us really care about women’s boxing if we are honest.
Croke Park cost three to four times the price of renting Wembley BEFORE the Gardai Siochana bill some arbitrary six figure sum for "security" The gombeens charge expensive rates
Overused and unoriginal phrase used normally by certain types who try to look smart and funny, just ask @aaaa, i mean @ALN93, i mean @ash234 I don't know what coke park is until Hearn talk about it
Tf are you doing tagging people who were banned three months before you joined? Look, the whole point of an alt, if it is to be allowable, is that you behave differently to the last time you were on the forum. If you can't even make a pretence at doing that i'll just remove you now.
Apparently Chan Cam has moved from Jamie Moore. Not sure how this would affect the rubber match with Taylor.
