Andy is one of the few quality combination boxers at HW. Too bad he hasn't fought. He would have torn Deontay a new *******.

I think because he's priced himself out and he's partial shot. Being overweight most of his life, getting really big around Ruiz v. AJ 2, then shredding down rapidly destroyed his punch resistance and ability. he hasn't looked good all after knocking out AJ.

It's clear after he got the AJ paydays the hunger he had, at least for boxing, waned. He's purely in it for the money and his focus isn't on boxing anymore as all that money has created opportunities for him that have become distractions and so he hasn't fought much and looked less than impressive when he has fought.

Ruiz and Wilder both share the same guy as their best win in Ortiz. Plus Ruiz ran Parker a lot closer than Deontay did.

Only two losses on his record and I think it clear Andy was solid top 10, probably still is (albeit in weak divisions).

His fast combos could make for some great fights if he's matched well. The Wilder fight itself would have been a cracker.

Because his fat lazy ass is too busy smoking the pot, rocking skinny jeans, pricing himself out of fights, and holding his gut in for photos to post on his IG account

    I agree with this statement.
Andy Ruiz certainly did something that boxing history will remember him for. Many won't do nearly as much.

If and when he comes back, it will not be due to being broke, as he has seemingly made wise investments. He has blown some money, but overall he has made sound decisions with his money. Overall he earnings total an estimated $25 million. Not bad for someone who some call an obese slob. 35-2 pro record, 105-5 amateur record. That's a lot of fights. Maybe he is just tired of fighting. Maybe he wants to keep all his brain cells or at least the ones he has remaining.

    No.

He barely scraped by Ortiz who was sixty-seven years old.

It's OK. Now you got me thinking about investing in some thrust fonds.

More likely you're fondly thinking of thrusting (ducks) :D

I've stated in other threads he's wasting/ed his career. He was very popular after AJ 1. Let's face it. Most peoples bodily form, esp. in America, is closer to Ruiz than the sculpted AJ. You didn't have to dislike AJ to get a kick seeing a much shorter, much fatter Andy drop AJ 4X and stop him. His inactivity has decreased his popularity and maybe ability too. He needs a quality fight sooner than later.

However it shakes out, if he's invested well as some say, Andy has had a very successful boxing career.

I get that but he poses a threat to the top guys who may or may not be chinny, as he was to Joshua. For the record I think he got him with a perfect shot and maybe it never happens again but the fact it happened once is enough to scare the **** outta any guy who built a brand in the heavyweight division.

He hasn't fought in over a year. Has he retired? The only time I see news of him is him calling out the top fighters like Fury, AJ, and Wilder (before getting beat by Parker) as if he's too good to fight other top fighters.

Some say money went to his head

Others say they saw him go into mcdonalds and not come back out like that Saudi journalist kashhoggi

Some people just can't handle money

Got some money and became even lazier than before. Let the AJ win get to his head. His heart is more into eating than fighting.
