Underated great rounds of boxing

Round 10 of JC Chavez-Meldrick Taylor 1. Round 6 of the rematch was good too, although it pretty much took all the legs out of Taylor.

 

Marciano-Moore 6th round...1955...non-stop punching.

 

Kind of one-sided, but rounds 2 and 6 of Derrick Jefferson-Maurice Harris were great rounds nonetheless.

I'm always amazed at the last minute of round 9 of the FOTC. Ali looked weary and totally spent--maybe out of gas for good. Then out of nowhere he lands this blistering flurry of jabs, hooks, right hands--he was literally bouncing Joe's head around like a ball for about 20-30 seconds!! Just an unbelievable blink of an eye turnaround--next to Joe's knockdown in the 15th I think this is the part of that incredible fight I most remember!!

Wait that was only two rounds ???

 

I saw a video of it a while ago while doing research for the Nery article on Wikipedia. maybe it was deleted but the fight is a war.

 

I thought round 1 of Tyson vs Tucker was underrated, it proved that Tyson could be hurt and outboxed at a world class level.

I scored the first 5 rounds to Tucker and I thought he won another round in the latter half of the fight.

The fight proved Tyson wasn’t an indestructible phenom like many thought at the time.

I often get the feeling that this one gets swept under the rug by many pugilistic pundits.
