Canelo seems to have changed since fight with Bivol.

Before that, Canelo was a Mexican star with the heart of a warrior, he had beaten everyone from the 168lb and Kovalev, but after his fight with Bibol, he was a different man.

We don't say different around here, that has such a negative undertone. We say special.
    Canelo became a "special" person.

He was always selective, even Bivol was a cherry pick when his only other option had Benavidez on the table. Now we can see how much he fears him. He gladly stepped into the ring with Bivol a fight nobody wanted to see, yet refuses for Benavidez in a fight everyone he wants to see.

Canelo is who he has always been. For the life of me, I cannot understand how losing 10-2 vs. Floyd and getting a couple of gifts vs. GGG (who wasn't even a PPV star) has made Canelo such a superstar.

    Dominant performances? No.
    Exciting, high output fights? No.
    Speaks english? No.
    Outgoing personality? No.
    Interviews/promotes well? No.
    Good looking? No.

    Dude checks literally zero boxes.

I think he has a great marketable look with his whole irish looking Mexican thing. He was just the right man at the right time, and had a great rub with a number of past prime hall of famers and Floyd.

I guess...Was he really the right man, though? I don't really know what to make of his career.

I think he is a very good fighter as opposed to great.

he has all the physical tools of a great fighter. Power in both hands? Check. Good counter puncher? Check. Good body puncher? Check. Good chin? Check. Good defence? Check. Variety of punches? Well, he throws powerful hooks, uppercuts and right hands and puts combos together well so yes, check.

However, his shameless ducking of GGG for the years and then all the gifts he has received preclude him from being an ATG IMO.

Bivol took his soul. His mental state is now in AJ territory.....doubting his abilities, fearful of more losses, afraid of a serious beatdown.

We got spoiled by guys like Pac, Floyd, Marquez and kbros who were disciplined and made it into their late 30s. Canelo is not old but a lot if fighters retired at his age or slowed down before that. He’s in a division with few names so he is fighting out of his weight and he has multiple business to run now. On top of aging his mind is probably not in boxing 100 percent anymore.

He was primed to be star since he was a teen. He’s been heavily marketed and sadly, that’s all it takes. Broner is another example.

In AJ's EX-territory you mean .... AJ is number 2 in the HW divisionn right behind Usyk. Tell me the guys who were able to survive 24 rounds with Usyk in pros? Except Joshua Nobody!!!

Joshua destroys Fury inside, TKO him.
Joshua destroys Zhang outside And KO him
Joshua KO Wilder in a brutal fashion
    Joshua outpoints Parker
    Joshua UD Hrgovic.

Canelo's skills look great in a vacuum, but he is sporadic and, therefore, hardly ever dominant.

Even if he was an ATG, there are lots of great fighters whose skills never transitioned to box office appeal.

And we found an AJ fanboy! Well done, sir. Let your feelings loose.
You forgot "AJ destroyed Helenius". Surely a magnificent achievement.
