If they both retire today, who is greater P4p and why?

On one hand Crawford doesn't have any controversial decisions and on the other his resume for a 40 fight vet and P4P top 5 star is weak and his best wins in 40 fights are Spence, Postol, Porter and the way smaller tiny Gamboa (which was a huge size mismatch between a natural 130 and a natural boiled down 147) and that is just no very impressive no matter how you try and spin it. Spence has always been very overrated

Yes, Clenelo has suffered losses to Floyd, Bivol and we all know he should have done to GGG too but then again so would Crawford if he fought those guys. Granted if he had 15lbs on Floyd he might beat him but then again the catch-weight might have killed him too.

A same or roughly similar sized version of GGG would 100% knock Crawford out and I think we all can agree on that

I think a bigger version of Bivol would beat him too, especially if Crawford was fighting in his 5th weight class and was sporting him 3-5lbs

A few other things for consideration

Crawford hasn't ever popped dirty like Clenelo

He's often been the bigger man in terms of weight, pretty rarely the smaller one, and very rarely the much smaller one and he has often had a significant weight, reach or both advantage

He hasn't ever been at a reach disadvantage in any of his world title fights

Has only fought outside his homeland once

Clenelo is a proven PED cheat

He does have the judges in his pocket to wave their magic wand and transform his Ls into Ws and he should have at least double the amount of losses he does and many feel maybe even triple the amount

He too was often the bigger man in terms of weight when he was weight bullying down at 154 and even up at 175 he was only giving away a few pounds (or 3-5lbs max against Bivol) and a couple of inches in reach

To be fair, unlike Crawford he has fought quite a few big or murderous punchers, especially ones his size which Crawford has only really done once and he got dropped

GGG no questions there he hits crazy hard

Kovalev (albeit that version was well past prime and not hitting near as hard as The Krusher)

Bivol whilst not considered a puncher, and I'm not listing him as one here, he doe hit harder than people think and Clenelo himself said he hits as hard as GGG and Benavidez said he has one of the strongest right hands he's ever felt and rated his power as an 8 out of 10

    Callum Smith

    Danny Jacobs

    Jermell

    Lara

    Kirkland

    Angulo

    Mosley

    Cintron

Granted, there is smoke and mirrors there as some were old and shot, dragged up in weight, and he was bigger than some.

He has fought quite a lot of guys with good to decent power but when you compare the amount of big punchers or murderous punchers he's fought to the amount say Usyk and Loma have fought (and obviously power is magnified if you're fighting opponents way bigger and heavier than you so even though they might not be considered bu punchers at that weight their power is higher against much smaller fighters) in way way less fights he hasn't fought that many at all for a 64 fight vet whereas they've only had 20 and 21 fights respectively

But then again Crawford has barely fought any legit bangers at all in 40 fights, let alone huge punching KO artists and especially ones his size. He's fought an awful lot of featherfists and figters with average power a bes

    Mean Machine
    Brook
    Molina

Maybe one or two others but none of those guys are considered massive punchers, let alone murderous ones, other than Mean Machine who is a legit banger

I think you have to give it to Clenelo due to the much higher level of competition faced. If you want to factor in the PED abuse and robberies and controversial decisions that's fair but then you have to do the same for all the US greats and stars who the same applies to which so many of you don't

This is the answer. Canelo and I don't particularly think it's close. Crawford could close the gap by taking down 154 twin and Tszyu or even 1 of them.

Yes, If they were the same size Crawford might or might not be able to beat him. If he got on his bike and fought like he did against Postol he might outpoint him but if he stood in front of him he might get knocked out

I think Crawford and GGG are actually quite similar in terms of dominating for a prolonged period of time against, less heralded names. The major difference being when they both finally got their marquee named opponent in the ring, it all went right for Crawford.
