Honestly think Zhang is gonna make this look easy. I like Parker and he's been on a good run since the Joyce loss, but I don't buy into this "new" Parker thing.

Zhang is technical, has great counters, deceptive speed and devastating power. He will land early.

Parker is more elusive and faster than Joyce and Hrgovic, but he's not a defensive wizard and he isn't as durable as either of those guys. He also doesn't have the power or work rate to trouble Zhang IMO.

When Zhang starts landing, Parker won't be able to weather the storm.

    If.

He'll get his credit if he does it, it'd be a new best win for him and a big boost to his resume.

I just have a strong preference for guys actually proving themselves before I assume they're good, ya know?

    Joyce destroyed Parker.
    Zhang destroyed Joyce, twice.

How will it be a best win for Zhang?

I think stopping Parker brutally, something AJ couldn’t do, beating solid gatekeepers like Takam and Jennings and being the first to beat Dubois was a pretty solid run. Sure the hype train went a little out of control but Joyce was still a very solid and proven heavyweight contender. Zhang stopped him twice, an impressive feat given Joe’s great chin, and he was robbed against Hrgovic. I’d say he’s earned his spot as a borderline top 5 guy.

That’s not how boxing works, styles make fights. Parker beat Wilder and also has a win against Ruiz. He’s objectively a tougher style for Zhang so a win over him would be comparable to beating Joyce.

I completely agree with that last part, Parker is more proven at a higher level. Zhang’s resume isn’t the deepest but still, those wins over Joyce and his performance against Hrgovic make him a proper top 10 guy.

@KINGWILDER I wonder what your excuses will be when Zhang destroys Parker.

I don’t make excuses. I also never said Parker would, I was stating it’s a hard fight for Zhang.

You on the other hand cannot engage in any sort of debate, what’s the point on being in this forum?

Usyk and Fury sure, but your criticism of Parker is odd if you've got Ruiz on your list.
