Morrell is a better fight right now than a guy who retired for 3 years. He is at 168 right now. I guess Benavidez can't make 168 anymore or doesn't want the other smoke in the division, only the payday with Canelo

I'm not interested in what reward a fighter gets, it doesn't concern me in the least. I'm only interested in seeing the best fight the best

Morrell is nobody right now, but that can change. He can have all the smoke he wants... at 175.

But he really should stop being lazy and get busy. How long has he been a pro now? Maybe a top ten fight is in order?

If Morrell is such a nobody then why would Benavidez' manager say they had a signed agreement? You are right that he should get busy, that can be said about a lot of fighters at the moment

You worry about the rewards a fighter receives & I'll worry about the best fighting the best

Compared to Beterbiev/Bivol, he is a nobody.

I don't worry about it. I am explaining why fighters and managers move a certain way. No fighter takes hard risky fights for our pleasure, that would be stupid. Their is always a big reward for those fights, they don't do it for fun.

Agreed but Benavidez is not fighting either of them next, Morrell is a better opponent than Gvozdyk

You brought up their rewards, not me. Fighters used to want to prove they were the best & the reawrds came by doing so

That's your opinion. Anyway, Gvozdyk is a solid first fight at 175 and positions him as a mandatory for the winner of the aformentioned matchup.

What does beating Morrell get him?

Beating a fighter with 10 fights won't prove he is the best. Most people will just say Morrell was too green.

It is my opinion. Beating Morrell gets him my respect for taking on & defeating a young prime opponent
