So he ran from the PBC to duck Benavidez back to dazn to fight bums. Hilarious. Biggest duck in boxing history.

You're clearly stupid if you think thats whats going on, or just a terrible troll.

Tell me you're trolling, I'll have more respect for you.

Crawford should have a mandatory defense lined up by now. Fat Andy hasn't fought since beating Ortiz two years ago. Danny Garcia two years out of the ring

    Inactivity harms the sport

How is it trolling? He could have made the biggest fight in the sport yet ran off to fight Berlanga and Mungia.

The only one running away is Benavidez, who announced he'd be moving to 175 rather than enforce the mandatory. PBC also doesn't have the financial means to make the fight and honor their agreement. It seems that IsaL was spot on and you were wrong, even though you were sure you were right  now you'll predictably play damage control. But it's clear, the fact is Canelo tried to make the fight but PBC couldn't pay and Benavidez is running away to 175. Those are the facts.

Now I wonder why Benevidez chose to move up to 175 instead of enforcing his mandatory status.

The only thing I can think of is that Al Haymon "advised" him, as to not let another promoter win. Bid war, or Benevidez will leave PBC soon and is waiting until the dust settles to start negotiations with Canelo under Matchroom.

    It's just a weird move.

That fight cannot happen when PBC are not prepared to pay Canelo the guarantee promised to him. Canelo cannot just walk away from a contract unless PBC are in breach of that contract.

Blame the PBC for making promises which could not be met. How stupid are PBC thinking they could screw over the biggest star in the sport!!!

People complained for years about the PBC paying boxers too much. By the looks of it, they just saved $70 million cutting Canelo loose.

They already have a half-dozen title fights coming up: Tank Davis-Frank Martin (Lightweight belt), Rolly Romero-Isaac Cruz (Super Lightweight), Erislandy Lara-Michael Zerafa (Middleweight belt), Sebastian Fundora-Bohachuk (Super Welterweight belt), Benavidez-Gvozdyk (Light Heavyweight belt) ... plus Tszu-Thurman, as well as David Morrell and Jarron Ennis title fights coming up ...

Hell, all those guys put together probably won't cost them $35 million that Canelo demands per fight.

And they have a new deal with the largest distributor in the world.

Just like when they broke with Golden Boy and started their own business, you take the fighters who want to work with you and you move on to the next thing.

I'm sure they'll make a lot of money this year without the enormous $70 million annual operating expense this year that comes with Canelo Alvarez.

You think PBC could not afford Canelo to fight Benavidez? The biggest fight in the sport that will do 1m ppv at least? Are you serious?
