Berlanga would be his biggest mismatch since Yildrim or Fielding; I don't understand why Canelo is going backwards with his opposition. If he doesn't fancy a serious fight then at least just sit the date out.

 

Jesus, the fact that this fight is even being considered is worrying. I understand it from a business perspective, Berlanga does have a name, is *undefeated* and the angle of Mexico vs Puerto Rico does bring in money due to the boxing fanbases, I'm probably going to still watch despite how ashamed I'll be that it's going on....but come on. Berlanga ****ing sucks, I kind of always knew in the back of my head he was getting groomed to be a potential Canelo opponent in the future, I hope Canelo puts a beating big enough for this clown to retire and never put boxing gloves on again.

Why's berlanga being explored by Canelo's team

 

Because it's an easy fight to make against a ranked fighter, where there's no money issues like with PBC.

You are overrating this angle. Berlanga fought infront of 3000 people last weekend, he is not a draw or even a big name, its all fake. He is a C level fighter, this fight is a farce. Ryder is a better fighter than him. I think it will bomb.

Canelo should have moved heaven and earth to avoid this fight if he really cared about making serious fights. In reality he wanted it.

 

He used to be best buds with Shakur and Teofimo, so that's supposed to be expected

 

Don't worry. Canelo will be landing plenty of them on Berlanga's head.
