My stance is this - IF PBC would have honored their contract, and IF Benavidez did not declare he was moving to 175, then I don't see any reason why the fight couldn't be made for September. Another problem I think is that Jermall Charlo due to his own issues is not seen as a credible opponent at this point. I mean he's doing interviews drunk on some island. This is the guy who Canelo's supposed to fight? It's clearly a dysfunctional situation with PBC, with Jermall Charlo, with PBC's $$ problems, with Showtime closing its doors, with Benavidez's team making up stuff in interviews about what was offered. I think Canelo was just fed up with PBC and being lied to about what they would offer him then trying to strong arm him with a new contract and a new agreement.
Amazon could snap its fingers and make these non-PPVs happen. The fact that none has been announced is discouraging, but I agree that there is some hope in the fact that Amazon released the below statement in December: "Additionally, in the U.S. and select countries, Prime Video will exclusively stream a PBC Championship Boxing series of events, showcasing top matchups among boxing’s current and rising stars."
I think the hold up is money. The PPV is all on PBC and event sink r swim with the purchase. These none regular fights a streaming\TV provider would normally pay for the content. Sounds like Amazon isn't willing to give them a lump sump like Showtime. Amazon sounds like they want a list of fights and seeing if its worth their money.

Like Oscar said, PBC is a sinking ship. Benavidez is jumping ship soon, if he's a smart man. No Showtime, No fight schedule, No money. They're counting every dollar now Gervonta is all they have left.
