Pogba banned for 4 years for (testosterone) career over basically. That testosterone may have allowed him to be a bit quicker and stronger. Might have won a few more tackles or improved his distances. Boxing where you can kill someone if you got in the ring at your worst never mind on stuff, they’re giving out next to nothing in punishments. Pathetic.
Excellent work from a sport with credibility and authority. Sends out a message to anyone else in the sport that it won't be tolerated. I imagine 'eggs innit bruv' as an excuse doesn't wash in any other walk of life
I instantly thought of Benn. The lad should digest this Pogba news and realise, if he has any humility, that he is getting off lightly with shenanigans of the past 18 months or so. 100% agree with you btw.
But did Paul Pogba look Eddie Hearn in eyes, with tears running down his face and say "I'M INNOCENT"?
Football is corrupt and riddled with doping also; I'd wager a big factor in Pogba popping hot is that Juve do not want to pay his wages anymore.
Agree that boxing is an incredibly corrupt sport, and particularly pathetic when it comes to this subject, but I wouldn't be so quick to place football on some sort of pedestal. Crazy corruption in football too and loads of drug bans are covered up.
I keep hearing this but have no idea where it comes from. Is there anything out there that backs it up? I have no doubt football is rife with drugs
boxing is actually in the minority of sports that takes dope testing semi-seriously football, NFL, NBA all turn a blind eye. the only shocking thing about Pogba’s case is that they bothered to catch someone.
They can take the testing as semi seriously as they want - it's the fact they don't punish failed tests accordingly thats the issue. which kind of makes the testing irrelevant.
