Bad comparison. Julian Jackson was far from a crude brawler. One dimensional perhaps but far from an unskilled puncher like Wilder. Jackson was a pretty good technician who didn’t just swing wildly for a KO.
This thread is hilarious I believe there is no way Tszyu ever beats Julian Jackson. The Jackson/Wilder comparisons are way off too. For brevity sake, I’ll end with two points. 1. Terrell Gausha, a true feather-fist fighter compared to Jackson, scored a clean knockdown on Tszyu. I doubt Timmy’s chin would hold up to the Hawk. 2. Wilder is a one trick, one-two pony. Has he ever knocked anyone out with his left hand? Meanwhile, highlights of Jackson show nasty, one-hitter quitter, KOs with either hand.
Yet no mention of Jackson’s 6 losses, all by KO and almost all of them early? But you do make a big deal of a flash knockdown Tszyu suffered yet he got up and won the last 11 rounds against Gausha. How very balanced of you. Tszyu could absolutely catch Jackson who had a very suspect chin. And Tszyu has more than enough weaponry to put Jackson to sleep. It’s the sort of fight that is too close to call.
Julian Jackson didn’t have the strongest chin but it was definitely not pure glass. He lost to Mike McCallum, Gerald McClellan x2, and Quincy Taylor who were all solid hitters themselves. Gerald McClellan was especially one of the most devastating puncher of all time so there’s no shame in getting stopped by him twice. His 2 other stoppage losses to Verno Phillips and Anthony Jones came when he was already washed up. Tim Tszyu hasn’t done anything that shows that he could handle someone like Julian Jackson. He’s not even close to the level of Terry Norris, who Jackson iced in 2 rounds.
The gronks came in this thread looking to flame the Tszyu fans and as per usual it blew up in their faces lol
