Still longer not he can beat easily from the outside. Ngannou has actually shown a better defense and head movement as well, I'd say he probably has more power too.

Foreman had a better chin than AJ has, Liston`s reach would have helped him, his head movement was better than Ngannou`s too, Liston was quicker than many heavyweight champs but I don`t think he would have been quick enough to beat Francis. Foreman was a naster at finishing fighters, Francis isn`t.

You're saying he would beat Sonny Liston?

    Good point.

Francis emphatically stated that, in his view, Fury hits very hard, and he further added that it was the hardest he had been hit.

Though Francis did take whatever shots landed on him very well, he definitely still felt them.

But fair to say that, in general, a quality boxing strike will be noticed by an MMA guy as being somewhat superior to any he received from his MMA opponents.

The “exception” to that rule would be anyone else who was hit by Francis himself in MMA. Lol.

Yeah featherfisted AJ lol.... he certainly does have one punch ko power to suggest otherwise is plain silly. He doesnt walk around the ring waiting to load up with the one punch hes in a fight but he does have that power. So he's been hurt and one guy has stopped him on his feet. Boxers get hurt occasionally it happens when 16/17/18 stone trained men punch each other in the head it doesn't mean he has no chin. Ruiz got a deserved win and he was beaten by a better man in Usyk, he's beaten everyone else and mostly by stoppages. Go look at Ngannous stoppages he's had a couple of fights where he's caught someone clean and dropped them. Don't fall for the marketing he's getting filled in next week.

It might only be 1” reach advantage but I imagine it’s an advantage that Joshua isn’t accustomed to at any rate.

AJ definitely has big power which should give us pause again to credit the whiskers of Usyk - because AJ did nail him a few times, enough to tell us that Olek has a helluva chin. Please refrain from comments re a “glass” body. Lol.

How much was Ngannou just being magnanimous though? I mean it wouldn't surprise me if it was true due solely to the fact that I can't recall Ngannou even taking any hits from seriously big hitters in MMA. I don't recall if Overeem caught him, but he'd likely be the hardest puncher if he was in full Super-Saiyan mode. Those other fighters like Dos Santos, Miocic etc would be mediocre hitters in boxing.

Yes I have, but because I'm not a fool I rejected it. Have you considered the possibility that you're an old school nuthugger that has no idea of what he's talking about?

Yes, possible that it was credit afforded out of courtesy but Ngannou, without being full of himself or overly deferential, strikes me as a pretty straight honest guy. Just calling it as he sees it.

What more lethal hits has ngannou taken than the ones that have dropped AJ?

Usyk wasn't seen as any easy fight. He was only like +180 or something like that. That was seen as a competitive fight and I'm sure the bookies odds were factoring in the chance that a close decision would go to AJ.

AJ is used to pressure. He's had plenty of high pressure fights. More than most fighters today, imo.

That being said, yes this fight has me very worried.

On one hand, I can see a case for AJ to do better than Fury.

On the other hand I can see a case for him doing worse, which would mean a loss.

Boxing has too much on the line here and I hate it.

I seriously cant believe many are giving Ngannou a serious chance of winning. He is going to get slaughtered.

At least that gives me a decent price for the AJ win by KO on Bet365.

He arguably beat Fury, and despite his flaws I rate Fury over AJ. It's not surprising many are giving him a fair shot.
