    Disgraceful ending to an entertaining but pretty one sided fight

    Thanks for the entertainment from the grumpy old men but its 5:09am and I didnt even get to watch Serrano shake her booty so its a disappointed bedtime

    No standing 8 under unified rules. You could have given Ota a count when he fell back into the ropes, and maybe he might have been able to see out the round. But he was pretty badly hurt, so who knows.

    I noted early in the fight that Kholmatov keeping one hand low is not a good habit. It caught up to him late in the fight.

    You can’t develop those kind of bad habits if you want to be an elite fighter. You will get caught.

    OK, so upon viewing the replay, Ota only turned his back once, but he defintely did his back and stumbled face first into the ropes in that final moment. Ota did turn his head to look at Ford but was hardly in a position to defend against a follow-up. You could call it a KD, but if someone is in no position to defend himself the official is within his rights to call it.

    I cannot believe anyone is defending and trying to justify what just happened.

    We just witnessed what was hands down the most biased commentary I've ever seen and I've been watching boxing since I was a kid and I've seen a million fights. It wasn't just insanely biased they were literally creating a narrative which was the complete opposite of reality and what we all could see as clear as day with our eyes. The fight wasn't remotely close and at best you could give Ford 3 rounds.

    We even literally witnessed Otabek batter Ford in one of the later rounds, a round he completely dominated, and Bradley said Ford was having his way and making him miss and making him pay, I've never seen anything like that in all my life. You wouldn't see propaganda like that in Stalin's Russia.

    And that corrupt bald creep of a ref, and who knows what he gets up to behind closed doors, dived in the first chance he could get to wave it off when Otabek hadn't even been down. He got on his bike after getting hurt and decided to give us a brief display of American slickness of his own because he knew there was only seconds left and he only had to see it out until the bell rang and the ref dived in to make sure the home boy got the W and Bradley said he literally saved Otabek's life.

    There was only 7 seconds left and there's no goddamn way in hell that ref would've waved that off if the roles were reversed and every single one of you knows goddamn well he wouldn't have.

    Scorecards don’t necessarily dictate how close a fight is. If Otabek was so dominant and effective then why did he fade and look far more tired and damaged than Ford did in the later rounds? As for the commentary bias I agree they were biased towards Ford but no more biased than is standard on an American show- so I think you’re just exaggerating.

    Say what you will about how it ended both Ford and Kholmatov still deserve praise for their efforts. They both showed a lot of heart and warrior spirit. These guys definitely produced a FOTY contender despite the conclusion.

    I would like to see a rematch between these two.

    Wow that’s a real shame if it does turn out to be an ACL tear. I’m no expert by any means but in Football when a player gets an ACL tear it’s a really serious injury which they can barely even stand from. Would Otabek really be able to fight on with an injury like that? He was moving around more and more as the fight went on too

    And the fact that commission forced him to fight without a leg brace, when he has in several matches up to now, which in all likelihood was the reason for the tear, and also what affected his balance, making it look far worse when he was hurt late in the fight, is even more proof of the sheer level of corruption foreign fighters face when fighting in the good old US of A.

    I know in MMA a fighter Thiago Santos fought with a torn ACL, MCL and PCL against Jon Jones. It was injured from a kick in the middle of the fight and he could barely stand up the last 2 rounds.

    Like I said, corruption from top to bottom. I remember when Hot Rod got robbed against Marcus Browne. It was a team effort where both the ref and the judges conspired to rob him but Otabek was fighting against the commission as well as Ford and the ref. And if the two judges who had him ahead had it even remotely close they were corrupt as hell too.
