Adam Kownacki is going through difficult moments in his career, he lost by technical knockout in the first round against Kacper Meyna, maybe it would be better for him to retire.
This is probably the worst slide into obscurity since Owen Beck was being touted as a "prospect" and got melted by Monte Barrett then started getting destroyed by everyone in succession. He definitely should retire
His chin was never going to last, and he always seemed like an undisciplined slob unfortunately. Very good entertainment for a while though. Ploughed through I think 4 former title challengers in some exciting fights. But this collapse is pretty shocking. Comparable to David Price, but Price only really got to prospect level and never really beat anyone to be classed as a contender, whereas Kownacki seemed 1 or 2 fights away from a title shot.
He had claimed he was going to retire if he lost the prior fight. He should have followed through with that plan. Nothing but low purses and brain damage if he keeps going.
Overrated.... Was He PBC? If yes.... Its all hype jobs like Wilder, Luis Oldtiz...... They got exposed .. And Tyson Fury Git exposed with them.
Ortiz was no hypejob he was just old & late to the party. Same applies to Zhang. If you turn up to the party late expecting a full buffet you're going to end up with an empty stomach and a drunk knocking you out.
It's a shame as had built a decent following and had an entertaining style. I don't see any way back for him after Meyna.
