Boxnation RIP

Will always have fond memories of Boxnation, i remember that period in November and December 2015 where they showed all 4 Middleweight titles fights in the space of a few weeks, think it was: Cotto vs Canelo, BJS vs Andy Lee, Golovkin vs Lemuix and Danny Kacobs vs Quillan.
Also the other big american fights they would have with Barry Jones on coms: GGG vs Canelo 1, Canelo Chavez, a few more GGG and Canelo fights, and some Mayweather fights etc

there was a period where their showing of international fights was top class, they were the only uk channel showing all the fights abroad pretty much apart from a few that Sky showed like some occastioanlly Ward Kovalev

Exactly this bud, you would have to be mad to turn pro with him, absolutely no chance. A while back I was discussing this with some posters on here and most of them said they would. Forget that, not trustworthy.

Ref those last 3 boxers you mention, it’s only because of the recent Saudi money and the only reason he’s involved in that is because of Tyson Fury who luckily for him, uses him as a promoter.

Ball, Chamberlain, Noakes etc have been promoted beautifully, with or without Saudi money.

The only reason Eddie is involved with Saudi is because he looks after AJ….See how it works, which should be obvious, it’s the fighters who bring the interest/opportunities in this type of scenario- not the promoters.

 

If that was actually the case then why did Calzaghe leave him to promote the Jones Jnr fight on his own in his very next fight and why did they put their company (yet again) into administration when he chased payment? Screwed each other, hardly. Just remember who is taking the punches and it isn’t the promoter.

Did you know, that Joe once took a young Joe Cordina to see Frank to discuss signing with him..that was long after the Jones thing. You haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about. They are fine with each other.
