Is it just me who thinks Munguia is a dangerous fight?

Blanket claims of corruption should not be agreed upon to massage the ego of a delusional poster. CJ has been seeking approval for his viewpoint for a very long time. We need to start being very specific about what anyone is claiming is corruption when it comes to judges scorecards.

The problem with the way many fans view Canelo is that they "assume" inherent corruption based on specific instances in the past, some examples more egregious than others. It's gotten to the point, in the mind of someone like CJ, that's it's become an exercise in confirmation bias to paint a general picture that is void of nuance or explanation. I would argue that, while I certainly understand the issue fans have with cards like Byrd's 10-2 over GGG or CJ Ross 114-114 against Mayweather, in protesting those there's a tendancy to lose sight of what actually occurred and why these kind of things happen.

I would encourage ya'll to start being more specific and use more brainpower when discussing the scoring of Canelo's matches. And it goes further than that. I mean, we still have a contingent of posters on here that continually mock the 115-113 x3 against Bivol, don't see that score as reasonable or even plausible when it's very apparent how well Canelo did in the first 4 rounds and definitively won round 9, and yet we have people living in an actual state of detachment and not being aware of what actually occurred, in believing that somehow rounds 1-4 were clear Bivol rounds. It's just a dishonest and narrow minded way of trying to spin an agenda against Canelo and trying to discredit all he's accomplished and how good of a fighter he is.

Who got schooled again ? Surely you're referring to Canelo on May 7th, 2022 ? That's the only logical explanation, otherwise you're just speaking nonesensically

For a catch weight, below his normal division limit, non title fight with penalties baked into the contract. Not even close to losing your belt on the scale but nice try. And of all the things you could criticize Floyd about, weight doesn't even register a bit.

The penalties for Floyd intentionally missing the agreed upon weight of 144 vs JMM were not baked in to the contract, but added quickly that morning to compensate JMM in case he had any thoughts about walking away, which would have been his right to do.

Jermell was the undisputed super welterweight champion at the time of the fight ,what are you talking about? He's also bigger than Canelo 183 cm vs 173 cm.

Look, I explained 5000 times. But I will explain it again for you, one more time:

Canelo: height 173 cm, reach: 179 cm
Benavidez: height 188 cm, reach: 189 cm

Benavidez is much bigger than Canelo.

Canelo: height 173 cm, reach: 179 cm
Jermell: height 183 cm, reach: 185 cm

Jermell is bigger than Canelo. Though, Canelo beat the daylights out of him.

Canelo fighting Jermell at 168, is not the same thing as Benavidez fighting Canelo at 168.

Because Jermell is already bigger than Canelo. Canelo didn't force a smaller guy to move up to 168.

But Benavidez is using his size advantage and beating smaller fighters at 168. He probably weighs around 180 at fight night and crushing his opponents like a bulldozer. This is not fair.

If that's how it went so be it. But it doesn't change the fact that being unable to make a catch weight isn't the same as not being able to make the official weight for your belt. This would be like Benavidez missing weight for a 165 lb catch weight. Big difference. And I can't even fathom the amount of tears we would be flooded with if Canelo gave him a 165lb catch weight.

He's given Canelo the ultimatum now. Fight me or I fight Gvozdyk instead.

We all expect Canelo to run and face Munguia instead.

Floyd was unable to, or simply didn't care to, make the official agreed upon weight after dragging a LW up to his division. Was just correcting you on the missed weight penalty being baked in to the contract. That was all

I explained it above, lots of times, but you don't want to understand. Bigger guys are stronger than smaller guys although they make the weight. They are stronger and more durable. And they weigh heavier at the night of the fight. It's not fair. Benavidez should compete at cruiserweight and fight boxers of similar size.
