It'll be an exciting fight with lots of punches thrown but Inoue's sharper punches, especially the body shots, will eventually make Nery crumble. I don't expect it to be an easy night for Inoue but Nery's lack of defense will give a lot opportunities for Inoue's counters.

Everyone is making Inoue out to be some kind of invincible boxer and he is not. Inoue has been hurt before. Donaire cut Inoue badly above the eye in the second round. And he rocked Inoue in the ninth round.

When something happens not once but twice its most likely it will happen again its just a matter of time.

Nery is being highly underestimated in this matchup and I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls of the upset. After all Nery has the Tokyo Dome Tyson vs Douglas curse in his favor.

If the odds end up being 42 to 1 in favor of Inoue then I would put my money on Nery.

No top boxer is immune from going through some adversity. All great fighters have been hurt badly before. Even fighters like FMJ, Andre Ward, Calzaghe, Finito, and Marciano have been rocked, cut badly, or put on the floor and they still retired unbeaten. Let's not pretend that Inoue hasn't learned from that experience, he's improved much better since that fight with Donaire.

Also I didn't realize that a stadium where a big upset took place can help a fighter out. Not saying that an upset isn't out of the question but other than Tyson vs Douglas what other big upsets have happened in Tokyo Dome? Can't really call it a curse if no other big upsets have happened in that stadium more than once.

Sounds like you agree with me. I just didnt go as far to bring up other fighters to make my point. Thanks for the add on though.

As far as the curse thing, Im just having some fun with it since its at the Tokyo Dome, relax.

Btw a pattern doesn't have to take place for something to be considered cursed.

Nery is a very dangerous fight for Inoue, probably one of the most dangerous fights for him at this weight. I just can't see anyone under like 130 really beating Inoue though.

I think Nery beats almost anyone else (other than Fulton),

I have to find a way to get a ticket for this fight as i will be in Tokyo at that time. I wonder if they have scalpers there?

Nery is good but the problem is that Inoue is too good...

Nery is going to need more facial padding than that.

I'm picking Inoue by stoppage like everyone else, but Nery is pretty good and hits hard - I've always rated him. This will be fun while it lasts for sure.

...and yes, the implied probability of the outcomes converted from the American moneylines does add up to a nonsensical 107%. What can I tell ya, sportsbooks logic is funny stuff. :nusenuse:
