Should be quite the opposite. Should be happy that a amateur level "boxer" can help bring attention to the sport. I don't specifically care for the Pauls or their fights, but I'll likely check this one out in hopes Mike lays him out. Fans need to wake up boxing isn't what it once was: one of the, if not the most popular sport on the planet. It's a sport that's fighting to stay relevant in a a sea of content this era floods us with. Any attention is good, unless it's your heavyweight champ getting embarrassed by a debut fighter......
I’ll pass I paid to see Mike vs Roy Jones and it was obvious they had agreement to not hurt each other. At least Mike did anyway I don’t think he threw one punch to Roy’s face whole fight. Too much money to see people dance
I don't think Texas will license Tyson to actually have a fight, just has to be an exhibition that's why this isn't PPV.
I rather have that attention given to fighters who actually take the sport seriously. Fights that actually make sense. Not clowns that sneak into the sport for clicks.

Mike is on Trt and who knows what else at the moment so he probably feeling good and will get a nice payday. He posted a video saying he was using it now. besides it will be exhibition rules so it shouldn’t get to out of hand.
The thought of Tyson losing to this guy is heartbreaking to me. If he blasts him out I’d be thrilled but will he be allowed to & is he capable of doing it?
Yeah but TRT only does so much for a 57 year old brain and joints. Mike had a bad sciatica issue a year ago and was even seen in a wheelchair. If this is a real fight Mike should try to unload everything on Jake in the first 30 seconds to a minute. It could turn very ugly if this goes to later rounds. His opponent is 30 years younger and also on the sauce.
I just hope it doesn’t become an embarrassment for him like the Holyfield and Belfort situation. Belfort should be ashamed of himself.
I totally agree, but the unfortunate reality is the guys who supposedly "take it seriously" can't draw the attention. Most of the sport is too calculated and risk averse at this point. There's less guys than you can count on one hand that really sell fights in this sport.
Mike sold out when he took the Roy Jones "fight" (if not before that... I'm losing track...) He'll kid-glove the YouTuber; their cover for this charade is that it's an "exhibition." If Netflix dares try to promote it as some kind of "showdown," I'll cancel my friggin' subscription once and for all.
Yeah that was one of the more pathetic things I've seen with how Belfort treated a stated exhibition match like he was fighting for the actual HW title of world, and TKO'd a 60 year old man. Even if Paul vs Mike is likewise an exhibition, unless the contracts specifically state no KOs Jake will definitely try to KO Mike for the clout.
Meh. It was two old legends going at it and most saw it as an even matchup. It was cool. But it´s a different story when a young man is fighting a 57 year old.
