It was a quandary for sure. I was ecstatic to see Fury's cherry pick go so disastrously wrong, but mortified at the thought it came at the expense of the reputation of the overall sport among casual fight fans and the MMA crowd.

I'm hoping for Joshua to bring some respectability back to the sport and undo the damage Fury has done, but it could just as easily be Parker, or Zhang, or Joyce or Usyk in there and I'd root for them.

For the sake of boxing AJ must stop him. A loss by AJ will hurt the sports credibility.

Don’t think much can be learned from their weights, both as usual are in good shape. I think Joshua will win and will look good as well. Always a chance Ngannou knocks him out if he lands a big shot, however.

Zhang vs Parker is intriguing and I feel like it depends on how fast Parker chooses to fight. He has to push the action to win this I think because Zhang’s stamina can’t be too great at that weight.

AJ is knocking him out before the 7th. round. This is my official prediction. If AJ loses, he is done, and Boxing is done as well. This should not happen. I'm really sad at what i'm seeing around the Internet, there is polls with people believing Ngannou is going to beat AJ and KO him. So many people, even on here think Ngannou is going to beat AJ, is ridiculous.
It's all done by Fury, he put insane amount of damage to the Boxing reputation, and it's once again up to AJ to repair the damages.

Zhang - Parker is the other fight i'm interesting, and while i'm ex(and still) Parker fan i think Zhang is going to walk through him. Zhang is a problem, and looking him at 291 and his physical condition is better than his last showing, it's insane, having in mind this guy age.

Zhang is 7 pounds lighter and in better shape, so he will probably be faster and i think his cardio is getting better with the right training and dieting.

I don't really view it as boxing vs MMA. If Ngannou wins (I don't think he does) it's more about Ngannou being an anomaly and a freak of nature than MMA being ''superior'' to boxing.

And some people use this thread to indirectly whine about Fury.
I've never seen an undefeated fighter that bothered fanboys more.
Remember that some people called Ali feather fisted & he had a 66% KO percentage.
Fury has a 70% KO percentage including Wilder. Hmmmmmmm

Still it's going to hurt Boxing big time, as before Fury embarrassment Boxing athlete was seen as a superior and more indepth(in the specific style) trained one.
A lose from AJ is for me killing Boxing reputation for good.
But i'm almost certain in AJ victory and he will smash Ngannou to pieces.
AJ is smashing Fury as well, he is way better than people gives me credit. Anyway tomorrow night is going to answer all the question we have.

    Boxing won't suffer at all.
Krzysztof Glowacki who was a 2x World Champion in boxing, went into MMA, got taken down, and then while on his back, KOd the guy with a left hook.
I mean, MMA should've just ended at that point.
That was suppose to be the way to get around boxers, and they would snicker when someone would say "He might be able to KO you off his back"
    Well, it happened.

Yeah and a lot of people were s**** on MMA since that fight. But did Glowacki beat anyone of a notice in MMA ? No, right. And this is best of the best, as we are talking about the HWs.
This will be equivalent of AJ or Fury goes into the UFC and beat Ngannou or Jones.
Ngannou already beat Fury, and everyone knows it, and if he beats AJ, Boxing is in the tatters.

You neglected to mention the guy he beat was some bare knuckle boxer or something who was also making his MMA debut.

No actually a 270 pound man 6ft9 and a professional world boxing champion isn't an easy fight for anyone. You're talking WWE level bs.

Yeah that would be true if Francis didn't already beated Fury badly while using like 30% of his arsenal. We see their face after the fight as well. So what im saying is 100% correct.

So true. And they speak about about street fights as if it's simply an MMA fight without a ref which is delusional
