i really wanna ask ppl who think aj can ko francis in the middle rounds this question.

Aj took 7 rounds to ko Helenius who is chinny and has average technique, came in on short notice. Aj struggled to find the right hand for 7 rounds, got a bloody nose by Helenius and ate a check hook that stumbled him.

Why do we assume now he’s going to find the right hand faster against ngannou who Fury had a hard time hitting him with his own right hand for 10 rounds?

Add that francis has never been rocked, dropped or koed?

add that helenius was quickly destroyed in rnd 1 (or 2?) by Wilder and i believe Aj of old would have done so too. and Francis would too.

Add Aj fighting safe against Ruiz in the 2nd fight when he was 300lb fat and slowed down, He could not put away ruiz who he dropped in there first fight.

I guess where i’m getting at, is that Aj has seen a huge drop off in power offensive, his finishing ability has decreased and he’s a boxer these days than a puncher.

Are we supposed to believe that ngannou is more defensively deficient than Helenius?

Wallin got cornered stoppage, and that was a former sparring partner and ex opponent of Aj. Walin fought fury 5 years ago, so i think the narrative that aj is back of a lie told by Eddie, Aj was a puncher who became a defensive boxer not out of growth but out of not wanting to avoid losing.

if aj wins, i truly believe it will be by the skin of his teeth or a boring dec.

Francis drops aj, i dont think he recovers, the grit from the past is not there.
