Boxers have always been capable street fighters. And what would MMA fighters generally use in a street fight? Umm punches? You're full of it.

Who's going to sprawl in a street fight anyway? Lol laughably dull. No blue mat underneath you generally speaking.

I forgot that MMA champions are bulletproof superheros- a cross between James Bond, Bruce Lee and Robocop.

If a boxer has serviceable takedown defense they would likely be fine. How much time it would take a boxer to acquire that is a different discussion there isn't a clear answer too. But that one thing would make boxers viable as MMA fighters. Not superior or dominant but viable.

As I said, the fight with Fury was a pure show, Fury could have beaten Ngannou at any moment, Joshua simply didn't participate in the show and did what a top boxer should do against a beginner, he simply "killed" him in two rounds.

AJ is definitely reading and receiving your apology. Im not sure he will forgive you after you hurt him so much by not believing in him, but I'm sure he feels vindicated

What a man you are to apologize directly to AJ like this

We all know how upset he was about you not believing he will win so this apology will mean a lot coming from you

    You're a real man

Ngannou is not even an amateur level boxer and his first two pro fights were against Tyson Fury and Anthony Johnson. The issue is he's 37 and time is not on his side to rise as a prospect. If he was a decade younger 27 and from what you've seen of him, would he have had potential to grow to become a great HW?

I mean… he’d probably be a good journeyman puncher like maybe a Purrity or someone like that. Minus the chin Ross had. Probably another Derrick Jefferson. Would have his moments but ultimately get shut off a few times like tonight and that would be that.

He hasn't shown any potential other than the side show versus Fury. Its impossible to say based on two fights in which one was against a out of shape Fury and a laser focused Joshua with two disparate outcomes.

No. He would have to have started at about 12/14 years old.

Fury made him look good. Against a real boxer like AJ Francis got destroyed in minutes. Same happened to Wallin.
Had Francis started training from a young age, he might have risen to be among the top 30 fighters.

This aged poorly but you did a great job of noting that Ngannou would turn southpaw. :)

If he started slowly rather than going in against bloody prime Anthony Joshua in his second fight.
