I'm a Big Bang fan and was rooting for him, but man did he bottle it. He was lucky to get the one card that was a draw. Parker by 2 points easily
Parker clearly outside of the 2 knockdowns Zhang did very little. Round 1 Even Round 2 Parker Round 3 Zhang 10-8 Round 4 Parker Round 5 Parker Round 6 Parker Round 7 Zhang Round 8 Zhang 10-8 Round 9 Parker Round 10 Parker Round 11 Parker Round 12 Parker 115-112 Parker
Parker without a doubt, absolutely deserved, Zhang did score two knockdowns, but Parker had enough rounds won, Parker moved brilliantly and hit Zhang cleanly, who in the last rounds almost didn't throw any punches...
I'll be honest, I didn't score it. But looked to me like Parker outboxed him the majority of the rounds. Can't give a definitive answer cause I didn't score it.
Not even a debate. Parker won this simply by outscoring Zhang throughout minus the rounds he was dropped. 2 knockdowns isn’t enough to win the fight if you don’t do anything else. The only controversy is the fact that one judge had it a draw.
No option for draw? I was pulling for Zhang but he didn't win this one. Parker got caught twice but controlled the fight, he won it close but relatively clear, in the 114-112 region.
Much like Hrgovic-Zhang, Zhang had the bigger moments. Except this time there weren't nearly enough of them to make an argument he could have won. Clear Parker win, and congrats to him for going in there and executing a game plan even with some hard moments.
I thought Parker was B level and didn’t have much heart after losing to Whyte. He has surprised me with his recent run. He is clearly a top talent in the current division even if he isn’t the best. The current heavyweight generation is turning out to be rather decent.
