It wasn't a great win. Quite a mismatch in fact. Ngannou had only beaten some washed up bum in his one and only other boxing fight. Hardly the sort of thing to warrant putting him in with a fighter of Joshua's calibre.

The calibre of quitting against Andy Ruiz Jr? Remind me where that is. No shame in back to back losses against Usyk, but AJ quit a la Victor Ortiz against fat Andy. Seems like Ngannou fights are exactly where he should be.

The best boxers on this list were at the end of their careers (and not prime) when they fought and lost to Joshua.

I don't know if it's the best but it sure craps on Furys resume.

Today, such "logic" is everywhere and in everything.
I'm not surprised at all anymore.
I try not to get angry.

That's a level above Fury then, who shouldn't be fighting anyone above domestic level at this point.

He knocked out Povetkin, who then knocked out White.
    He also knocked out White....
He also knocked out Ngannou, who knocked down Fury.
But one can always find some justification.
You should first understand what "resumé" means.

Anthony Joshua was a good champion, but not spectacular. In general, I think he's underrated, because we haven't had a spectacular champion since Lennox Lewis.

He has the best resume but it doesn't really matter since he still lost to Usyk 2 times.

People care about who's the champion, not the resume. Even tought i think Usyk lost against Dubois, it doesn't matter since he's still the official champion.

A boxer's "resume" includes only the boxers you beat, not all the ones you fight.
Because in that case Oleksandr Usyk would also be included in Anthony Joshua's resume, which is not the case.

I think Takam could go on the list, too.

Something to be said about this list...not only did he win these fights, but it is something that he went out and got them in the first place. It was an era when you have guy like Fury who have a small number of tough fights and Wilder who had almost none outside of the losses. Props to AJ for being a true fighting man.

By resume they don't mean who has lost to the best competition. Chisora has a garbage resume when it comes to wins. His best win is a gift md against forty something Pulev.
