Parker clear victory. The worst thing to happen to Zhang in that fight was the round 3 knock down. He went back to his corner celebrating as he was expecting Parker to fold like Joyce. Parker came back from the knockdown emboldened. Knowing he had to hit Zhang back to deter him from walking forward and dictating the fight he hit him with a nice shots in round 4. One of them looked like it briefly wobbled Zhang. That changed the fight as Zhang realised he had to respect Parker's power, which he didn't do against Joyce. Parker made him pay most of the rest of the fight. Zhang was very marked up and reluctant to engage rounds 9 through 12.
Parker boxed brilliantly - the knockdowns probably weren't to plan but could have been expected v a giant... he wasn't overly hurt though and if anything the KD's helped his focus and revolve. Zhang is powerful and crafty but nowhere near busy enough or willing to go to the well...maybe he knows it's basically dry. Hail JP the Can man
I think Parker won his rounds a fair bit clearer than Hrgo though. So while it was a close fight on the cards the rounds within that card were generally quite clear.
Nah Parker hit Zhang enough that Zhang had no interest in going for it... he though the KD's were enough but JP just kept landing and banking rounds. Totally out maneuvered and thought. Hats off JP and Lee
The people claiming this was a robbery online either have no clue how to score a fight, are Zhang fanboys, or are bots. Parker won clearly, you can’t say anymore.
Parker for sure. Zhang did much more damage but Parker simply won more rounds by being way more active. Zhang was throwing like 5 punches a round lol.
Parker won the majority of the rounds. Zhang had the only two big moments. Parker win was fine. A reminder that A beats B beats C theories don't always hold true in the HW division, unless A = AJ, B = Ngannou, and C = Fury.
Parker easily and more should be made of it. Sad this is being overshadowed by gimmick fight. Whilst Parker is actually facing proper boxers. That most wrote him off in.
I'm sure Joshua would have no issues fighting Parker in a rematch. Would quite like to see it in fact.
