Those were about as hard and clean as any shots you'll ever see in a boxing ring....

Anyone thinking this fight was rigged is clueless and needs to have their eyes checked. Joshua sparked out Ngannou and couldn’t miss with his right hand. Give him the credit and move on, these conspiracy theories are silly.

A loss for Joshua would have virtually killed any credibility pro boxers have left. Personally I don't think this makes MMA look bad, simply because it's not MMA. It's not far off saying Jordans baseball career diminishes how good a basketballer he was! Yes, you've got the image of Ngannou being laid out but I still think it's a bad look for boxing. A two-time heavyweight champion, has to knock out a 2 fight novice to make boxing look good? Overcompensation much?

Its because Ngannou stylistically was (save for his final fight) pretty much all hands in MMA. Barely kicked, barely wrestled. Not only that but he was literally the biggest puncher in MMA history and was also never wobbled once in his MMA career. So he got completely outclassed at his biggest strength and his previously unbreakable chin got cracked within minutes.

He beat an amateur and that amateur beat not so good/shot fighters and the only good one made him panic wrestle.

    Cut the bull****.

Im not sure if you really watched the fights but in Shields case it had a lot more to do with 3 things:

    1. Shes **** as **** and should go to WWE
    2. The team behind Shields didnt really focus on Shields strength (ex Shields neanderthal strength). Unprofessional as ****.
    3. She didnt really listen to their corner

At the end of the day its women sport so I dont really have the interesset to defend it.

Oh and you just sound like an salty MMA fan, lmao.

He didnt look like someone who knew he was going to lose. Not even Ngannous fanbase aka body language experts did think that.

Maybe you should stop ducking the smaller man Jones, Mr Ngannou.

They need to be deleted so actual boxing discussions can be facilitated. It’s frustrating then the forum gets bogged down in troll and fanboy threads.

I sound like a salty MMA fan because I pointed out that Claressa Shields fighting a soccer mom with a 1-2 record isnt the same as Ngannou fighting Anthony Joshua?

My point is there is an obvious difference in the dynamics of boxers coming to MMA compared to vice versa, matchmaking wise. The MMA fighters are going straight into high profile fights against top level boxers in major PPV main events. The boxers are on the undercards of B promotions being matched up against cans that they're supposed to beat. One is basically a set up to make an example, the other is not.

What kind of point are you attempting to make?
