    I,m not happy !

It would be an incredible story and fresh wind for the division if he really would be competitive .

And i,m especially not happy that dazn cashed me out in ppv like for a megafight of the century and in fact all i saw is francis taking a nap on the canvas ;-)

I had no idea this 'fight' was even happening but I would have been relieved because you're never sure if fights are going to be on the level. I do see it as Joshua cleaning up a mess that Fury made.

Hopefully this is the end of this crossover nonsense. Now I wish boxing commentators would quit sounding like MMA commentators.

    Interesting post.

So what you're saying is... Fury went basic ***** using an aggressive style despite his pillow fists to fight Wilder (and a few bums on the side) because he knew how useless Wilder was.

And now he's preparing for Usyk, he has to get back into a more pure boxing style because Usyk isn't simple enough for him to stay predictable.

I mean, it's one way to diminish Fury's resume since returning, I guess?

Fury would be stupid to shoehorn himself into fighting one specific way against Usyk. He will have to be adaptable it's the big advantage Fury has, he has some options meanwhile Usyk will fight one specific way.

    You really should be banned.

So Ngannou a proud champion pretended to be embarrassed and get a concussion? And the blood inside his lip was fake. This is so unbearably stupid. Comic book nerds should stay away from sports

I think boxing really needed this outcome, a lot of the public perceive MMA as the superior combat sport at the moment and I think many believed that an MMA could punch with a boxer (partially thanks to Tyson Fury). The way in which Joshua won as well really helped. I feel a bit bad for Ngannou because he's a likeable guy (much more than Joshua) and I doubt he anticipated this fight going like way but this was ultimately necessary for boxing.

When he stepped into the ring on Friday, Anthony Joshua looked totally focussed on getting the job done and doing a number on Ngannou - which he did, in spades.

During the fight AJ looked mean and dangerous. There was an intensity in his eyes and his facial expression that was quite unmistakable. I've seen almost all of AJ's fights but I'd never seen him look like that until his fight with Ngannou.

This is the AJ that I want to see in his future fights, and it's the AJ that he needs to be in the ring if he's ever going to capture a World Heavyweight title again.

Let's not forget Ngannou has had about a year of boxing training. Give a top level boxer for example AJ a year of wrestling training and I'm not so sure they do get murdered in the UFC. Most fights in the UFC do start with punches lets not forget that either. I enjoy watching mma but I often call the fighters a jack of all trades master of none.

Depends on the stylistic match ups. I wouldnt be surprised at all if in a year AJ could develop enough defensive wrestling skills to force guys like Ngannou, Lewis, Rozenstruik, Gane, Tai etc to stand and trade with him, but then the actual good grapplers like Jones, Aspinall and Jailton would still get him down and sub him without much trouble most likely. Bearing in mind HW is a relatively one dimensional brawler heavy division these days as well.

Its an overplayed stereotype really. That UFC event PPV last weekend had an olympic medallist TKD guy, a high level karate guy and an ADCC champion on it. The next UFC PPV has a guy who was probably the best kickboxer ever at his weight, a super high level former collegiate wrestler, and one of the best female boxers ever vs a two time olympic medallist judoka.

Murdered is a stretch, plenty of boxers have no punch power so they wouldn`t murder top UFC fighters, having said that mainly the toughest, most robust boxers make it to the top because boxers take more blows than MMA fighters, top MMA fighters don`t seem to have or need great chins to become champ which is why so many of them get sparked by one shot and why Francis` power had more effect in the UFC than it did in his boxing matches, he actually caught AJ with several counter hooks before switching southpaw, I think he was hoping for a break. As if it would take Joshua a second to feel comfortable attacking his line. Ngannou is just so STRONG, but not coordinated.
