There better not be a cancellation. I'm in the process of buying plane and hotel reservations for the bout. I will certainly buy travel insurance but still....it better happen.
Without the Saudi money there would be 0% chance of Fury stepping in the ring with Usyk. Thankfully with the Saudi money there is a good chance. I'd say 80%. It's just too much to turn down, especially with the rematch. Fury has repeatedly spoken about the rematch clause lately. He'll already have his excuses rehearsed for the first time Usyk beats him, then after the second time he won't care.. he'll just sail off with his huge, massive bags of gold.
I was very sceptical. But after seeing this video here: This content is protected I have hope it will come together. It's the first time Warren and Fury together basically "promoting" the Usyk fight.
The postponement needed to happen, honestly. No one was talking about this fight two weeks out from the original date. The promotion was rushed and very lackluster and the fight needed a chance to be built up beyond the level of an ESPN FNF matchup. AJ doing what he did to Ngannou has now given this fight the marketing push that it had to have. ... Usyk will need to pitch a near shutout to get a decision, too. The media is already talking Fury/Joshua, as there is nowhere to go if Usyk wins.
I hope it happens too, but with Fury you really never know, he's so unpredictable and it's not the first time he's done it, he pulled on of the June date with Wlad, postponing the fight until October only for him again to pull out. So yeah definitely buy insurance.
There will be a show regardless is what Turki said. They will have Hrgovic or Parker lined up for Usyk or Fury if one or other back out, both of which are good fights.
Will Santa make a second appearance in June? Will the Easter Bunny climb mount Everest? Will they run out of helium in the Macy's parade?
He's going to pull out with feigned mental health issues again. That way he may avoid a penalty, as no one wants to be seen to punish a sick man. He'll then retire till the coast is clear then return against Joshua and pretend Usyk never even existed. I really wish I didn't have to say crap like that, but with Fury the bottom of the barrel is the limit.
