Believe he is fighting David Benevidez in June.

Need to catch up with his fights since the return.

But does the nail look anything like he used to pre beterbiev beat down?

Also Benevidez bullies his opponents with his size and overwhelms them with punches.

Maybe this is difficult to do gvodzyk who he won't have a size advantage over?

Doesn’t look like the same fighter IMO, I hope I am wrong.

He hasn’t looked pre-Beterbiev but I also think Gvozdyk is the type of guy that rises to the occasion and level of opposition. The Nail will be ready for David.

Beterbiev broke him mentally. But if he can look like his old self for a night he's gonna smash Benavidez like an egg.

Doesn't look as sharp to me, which is likely why Benavidez's team chose him as their first fight at 175. But it is still a gamble for Benavidez, he's done well at 168 being the bigger man and using that size to his advantage, will be interesting to see if his style works as well when he has a man just as big, if not bigger in front of him. That makes this an intriguing fight and worth watching in my opinion.

If he is the same fighter that faced Beterbiev then Benevidez has almost no chance. I think he is a shell of that fighter.

I was a big fan after he put Pimp Chickenson into retirement. But it was weird when he was buddying up to Canelo and saying Canelo would beat Beterbiev.

Russia/Ukraine rivalry and having his head and confidence thoroughly beaten by Beterbiev.

The nail is everything I like in a fighter win or lose.

    (Likely loses)

Honestly, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he beats Benavidez, as long as his heart is fully in it. And as things stand, I don't think it fully is.

My controversial opinion is that if Gvozdzyk and Beterbiev fought 10 times, I believe Gvozdyk would win 4 times.

Watched recent Gvodzyk interview, he looks good and he is confident.

He has a goal to have a belt again and I want to see him vs Bivol after he loses to Beterbiev.

    Cheers for the comments all.

Yeah that is what intrigues me is the size shouldn't be a factor for Benevidez.

Here's my controversial opinion: I actually think prime Gvozdyk is better than Bivol.

He did not even take a big beating from Beterbiev. Apparently the reason he stopped boxing was because during covid he got involved in business and was too busy with that. The narratives that he was a broken man after 1 loss seems to be nonsense. He is a young 37, basically same age as Canelo's best win. No excuses when David destroys him please.
