I think he's actually looking for openings to land a KO shot. Ref warns them about something, with less than a minute left. Another huge overhand, Joyce immediately counters with a short hook, down goes Ali, flat on his back, he struggles to get to his feet, and is waved right before the bell

    Joyce looks exactly the same as before, if a bit out of shape. He's probably still a nightmare for any opponent who doesn't hit like a nuclear weapon, despite peoples usual impressionable knee jerk reactions to his worst matchup in the division.
