Isn't it a bit too early to be saying that because he beat up a journeyman? When is he doing to step up and fight some elites of the division. He has been a pro for 10 years and he's still fighting the maxi hughes of boxing. He might be special but he might just get his ears boxed off the moment he fights a slick high level boxer.

You are on a forum with people with different opinions, and you are complaining about people who dare disagree with you. Think about that for a moment.

I've personally been hyping the hell out of Zepeda since 2020, and yes saying he was special. Roberto Ramirez, Hector Tanajara, Rene Alvarado, JoJo Diaz, Jaime Arboleda, Mercito Gesta and Maxi Hughes are NOT journeymen, at the very least they're all second tier tough outs for anyone who's a pretender at 135. Maxi Hughes in particular, coming off of a clear win over Kambosos that he was robbed of. He's fought plenty of slickish fighters, and he feasts on them easiest of all. See... because he's really really really really good at cutting off the ring, which is an asset you need when fighting a slick fighter. Slick fighters won't be an issue, a big puncher will be.

Actually that's what you are doing right now. I back up my points with solid arguments, you just cry about someone dares disagree with you.

Hughes just had his career best performance outboxing Kambosos clearly only to get robbed and prior to that had four solid wins in a row against good opposition, how is he a journeyman?

I never called all of them journeymen. I said hughes is a journeyman with 6 losses including getting knocked out by a domestic level fighter, and he is also 34. He still needs to fight a high level slick fighter with a strong jab, and great feet. The guys you listed are C level, when he going to step up fight a skilled boxer B+ level fighter.

I like his style and what I see but I'm sick of these lay up show case fights. The sport is full of them. We all knew he would beat the crap out of Hughes. He just did what he should have.

Because I judge fighters over their whole career and not just 1 performance vs a flash in the pan. Apparently you want to ignore his 6 losses including getting brutally beat down and stopped by club fighter Bowen.

As I said Hughes had more than just one strong fight and was unbeaten for three years convincingly beating several ranked fighters in a row, the fight against Kambosos was anything but a one off flash in the pan performance.

You clearly haven't been following Maxi's recent career resurgence have you? Sure he lost to Martin Joseph Ward 2 times, but there's a reason why it was a trilogy.;) The losses to Liam Walsh and Scott Cardle were forgivable, as was the loss to Sam Bowen, who was KO rampaging through the division when they met. But one doesn't go on a run of beating Jono Carroll, Kid Galahad, Jovani Straffon, Ryan Walsh, Paul Hyland Jr, Viktor Kotochigov and George Kambosos Jr. and still be considered a journeyman, at least by anyone who isn't a casual fan at best.

Journeymen are usually C level fighters... most of those guys are clearly B level. You want him to fight someone who is A-.
