Cheers. Forgot to update it as I've been out the country. Updated following "knockout chaos" with Parker beating Zhang
I dont think Luis Ortiz deserves to be so high up in the rankings for so many years in The rings annual ratings...
As an alternative to PBO, you could use these ratings: https://www.sports-ratings.com/fights/heavyweight-boxing-top100.html
Great work since it reflects the boxers achievements based on his activity and quality of his opponents . One thing i would maybe rethink : when we are ranking pure hw i would not take achievements from cw into consideration . Instead a cw ranking for such a boxer could be created .
@Finkel - I believe you are missing 2 wins for Anthony Joshua. Both Charles Martin and Dominic Breazeale were ranked by Ring and TBRB when he beat them.
This would put Joshua on 9 wins over rated opponents. I believe Wladimir Klitschko finished his career on 13 (see below), so it is possible that Joshua will overtake him on this measure before he retires. Klitschko (x13) - (Byrd '00, McCline '02, Byrd '06, Brock '06, Brewster '08, Ibragimov '08, Thompson '08, Chagaev '09, Chambers '10, Haye '11, Povetkin '13, Pulev '14, Jennings '15) Joshua (x9) - (Martin '16, Breazeale '16, Klitschko '17, Takam '17, Parker '18, Povetkin '18, Ruiz '19, Pulev '20, Wallin '23)
