It's a shame about Thurman.

Tszyu vs Fundora should be a cracking contest whilst it lasts, both are come forward fighters and don't mind taking a few to give a few, this could be a classic.

Tszyu by stoppage.

 

Don't act like this the first time PBC pulled this last minute replacement. And we all know this is a completely different fighter to train for. This was planned

 

I wish it was planned, this is better than original fight, by a considerable margin.

 

Chalk me up as someone who wants to see it again!

I was surprised when Part-Time took this tough fight.

He's likely had second thoughts and probably prefers going back to playing pan pipes on a Thai beach.

 

Thurman had no shot. He will just be injured for another year and fight someone else then. He was a hyped boxer a few years ago.

Fundora is awkward as hell so this may be a harder fight. Fundora sucks but he's so awkward that makes it harder. And a free wbc title for it.

 

Two takeaways:

Fundora is actually a more serviceable opponent than Keith Thurman (at JMW)
I don't wanna hear anything else about Keith Thurman, time for him to go the way of the dinosaur

 

I can see this as an upset. I know Fundora was stopped by a lesser opponent than Tszyu, but he went through hell to set up that shot. It will be interesting to see if Tszyu can avoid that type of punishment and still generate a solid offense. This is a much better match up. I can't call it to be honest.

 

Nobody realizes at this point Thurman is just a chess piece Hayman can use to avoid or pressure results he is seeking as far as making fights. He's more a TV guy than a fighter at this point.

 

Cheering for Fundora. Australia is too far and Tszyu is a dumb name to spell. Hopefully Fundora takes care of that for me.

 

Just good old PBC cancer. Overpaid, entitled athletes out for ages disinterested in legacy or risk, over-marinated in-house fighting and a lot of fkin demands & ego when outsiders enters negotiations. When one of their own is an underdog, pull-out, accusations (Fulton-Inoue) and excuses fly around like clockwork. No respect for the sport and the opponent whatsoever.

Prolly went down like this: Keith my boi, train as you feel and if ur confident & judges are on our side, take the fight for FY money, if not, pull out and no worries about the fallback, who cares about the other side and fulfilling your side of the bargain. We got lawyers.
