When i posted my question i knew i could rely on you Greg to provide a answer. Thanks and i wouldnt argue with any of your choices
It's funny how hated he is. I separate the man and the fighter. The man is a douchebag. The fighter is an ATG, one of the greatest ever, an absolute master that we have excellent footage of (one of the best things about him and that makes him great to study). I have nothing but respect for the fighter, and I don't really get how any boxing fan couldn't.
Of course, I momentarily forgot that Hagler, and completely forgot that Whitaker, have both very sadly passed away. In which case, according to that survey, believe it or not, Sumbu Kalambay and Evander Holyfield are in the top 10 living boxers. Personally I'd have Hopkins and either Olivares or Canto ahead of Holmes and Kalambay.
Definitely Roberto Duran. Out of who I believe are the top 10 in history, he's the only one still living. Once he dies, that question becomes a lot harder.
And I. Although @Shay Sonya didn't give reasons I'm guessing it's because Evander fought: Pinklon Thomas, Michael Dokes, James Douglas, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, Riddick Bowe, Michael Moorer, Ray Mercer, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, John Ruiz, Hasim Rahman, Chris Byrd, James Toney, Sultan Ibragimov, Nikolai Valuev... And that's not even counting his CW career. Today Derek Chisora is the closest to that, but with much less success
