German heavyweight contender Agit Kabayel(24-0) will return on June 1st. It is unclear if this is the Saudi card or a solo card in Germany.

Don’t be a solo card in Germany, someone get that man on worldwide televised boxing shows but more importantly get him paid.

Good to see that Kabayel's career looks like it is finally picking up steam

It was years and years ago that he beat Chisora

The Kurdish King is the second slickest brother in the HW division after King Usyk.

He was badly hurt by the Croatian brother Argon Smakici who cut Belly's eye but here's the thing. The Croatian brother can hit and he was teeing off on him and any HW would've been in trouble after shipping that many big shots in quick succession and most would not have still been standing so it's not a chin issue. His destruction of Mak was very impressive.

It will probably be Sanchez in a WBC eliminator.

Yes, WBC has announced that Kabayel and Sanchez will be mandated to fight an eliminator and that the winner of Fury-Usyk will (eventually) have to face the winner of that in order to retain the WBC belt.

I say "eventually" because Sulaiman also allowed that he wouldn't get in the way of a Fury-Joshua showdown.

I posted an earlier thread about this. Haven't been able to find anything specifying a June 1 date for a Kabayel bout so I don't know if that would be his Sanchez bout or someone else(?)

Scotty, can you cite a source or post a link to where you saw this June 1 date?

There was a DAZN Germany reply to a photo Kabayel posted on social media that had the comment '01.06'. That's where people are getting it from IIRC. Makes sense to make the fight for that date, firstly because I don't know of any other proposed Saudi cards that aren't already full (Usyk-Fury), and secondly because the only place it makes commercial sense is Saudi.

Speaking of Makhmudov, has anyone heard anything about him since he was demolished?

I miss the days of people steaming about the idea of Fury fighting Agit as a stay busy fight....meanwhile they were saying Fury would be scared to fight that ugly Russian guy who got smashed. Funny eh.

Kabayel vs Sanchez would be an excellent fight, both good strong technical heavyweights that need a big fight. Plus it would get them a boost in the WBC rankings and one step closer to a world title.
